Was looking at a local classified site earlier and the Colt's and Smith's were listed at 2k and up........crazy!

A local shop has/had an used underfolding AK for $3,500. Don't go there anymore. Coyote Creek in Rochester NH is crossed off my list.

Saw pain Jane No Name M4-gerys selling at the Jacksonville NC gun show this past weekend for $3200... dumbies buy'n them still as well.

Seen a Warsaw AK marked for $2500 as well... 8x it's value in my eyes

It's getting ridiculous

Our biggest local gunshop can barely keep anything on the shelf, this with $3000 AR-15 that would normally retail for $1300, and that's what the tag said 3 months ago when I bought another .22 there.

Yikes! And I thought things were crazy after the election. Think it's nuts now? Wait till Feinstein submits her bill. Even if she fails, prices will continue to go rise. We may have a long wait before prices settle.

I just watched an HK MR556 sell on gunbroker for $6025. Actually it is the second to sell for that price. I am tempted to box mine up ,before I shoot it, and bid it adieu..... It is insane, but hey, if people want to pay outrageous prices, more power to them.

Some idiot on Florida Gun Trader was trying to sell a CETME (listed as a PTR) for $2500. I've also seen $3000 Arsenals, $1100 WASRs and $75 PMags. If you've got spares, now is the time to sell... you can list for a price that is reasonable by comparison and still make a profit.

Went into a prominant pawn shop today to look, and Arsenal builds are averaging at $1800, WASR's at $1300, and the venerable SKS at $850. Only thing that seemed normal was the AES-10b there selling for 2k, and that's the same price it was when it went in.

Looks like I am out of luck. I was thinking about getting an AR one of these days, I guess those days are gone. Too bad, but I am happy with what I have to date. I am certainly not defenseless by any means.

My local shop refuses to raise prices and they're proud of it. They are just happy to move the product they get.

They have nothing on the walls but high end bolt guns and shotguns but piles of boxes with transfer forms on top. 9 day backlog on background checks here.

Im still trying to decide on when to sell mine. I honestly dont really like shooting or reloading for my AR, the only range around me maxes out at 100yds, paper only etc etc. I much prefer pistol. I bought 6 cheap c-product mags for $9 each from aim back in mid october, shortly after bama mentioned fun control during the debates- mainly as an investment. Then after the election, I saw another oppurtunity and picked up a cheapo dpms Ar that came with two mags for $640 after tax. Prices are nice now and I could probably get me a few nice range pistols(more to reload for :) ) with the profits reached, but I think the pinnacle would be once a bill is introduced. Im not trying to sound like one of *them*, but I honestly have no real dire use for an AR nor 8 mags. I may just sell off 5 or six of the mags.

what can I say...

ya snooze, ya loose

its not price gouging, its excessive panic buying that is the problem

I went into a LGS and they had an older used bushy A2 style for $1600.00. I'm not buying anything but what I need until the stupidity ends.

I'm almost inclined to sell a few dozen mags between my rifles and handguns for a few grand and pay my car off, but my girlfriend has told me not to stoop as low as the gougers in the gun shop (or at least wait to see what will actually happen)

even then, these are dark times.

I went to a gun shop that was not even selling any of their stock on semi-autos or hi-caps until further notice (they had signs on all of them stating such). I was disgusted, and the crap they spewed wasn't any better.

Gun onwers truly are the most divided union in the history of man. We make the Ancient Chinese look like the model family.

I am so glad I got what I need, aint buying nothin, selling nothin (though could make some cash). in a few months, some of these guys that spent a fortune will be selling stuff at a loss cause momma needs to pay taxes, needs Christmas money etc. foresight, should have bought a bunch of trash WASR10s for $450 and sold them for $1500. whateverr, the leftist of obama will have a helluva time fighting Americas basic rights.

but... but, they have 3 ugly x39 mags for a cool 5.9 mil... at about $2,000,000 per mag you can turn em around for a major profit!

I remember buying a wasr-10 from aim back in 04 or 05 for $300... sigh... cases of silver bear ammo for $95... Im mad I stupidly sold it.

OK...Can anyone even connect to the Atlantic site?? I can't.

Anyhow...I saw a DTI Hbar (actually, in my opinion, a pretty nice, well built, yet basic rifle) 16" carbine that sold for $675-750 a couple of months ago, sell for $1800.00 with 2, 30 round Promags. Wow!! Guy bought it with no questions asked and really seemed grateful that he was getting two magazines!!

On another note. I have bought from Atlantic before. I always thought that they were a "little" high on their products. However, Blaine has always (to me) been a straight shooter. CS has always been very good. Shipping (in the past) has always been very timely.

I tried to access their site, and could not.

Kinda makes you all warm and fuzzy knowing you may have to go to war defending the 2A with 5 and 10 thousand dollar weapons.
