Anyone know if these are plagued by the same extractor issues as the gen4's?

No one?

Interesting... I did find out through some research it was made at the same time Glock was switching to MIM (late 2010 early 2011) but it is really hit and miss.

I guess I will find out when I shoot it. My wife spent the day training/shooting a G19 yesterday and wanted one. Unfotuneatly in the current climate the RTF2 was the only 9mm I found. Everyone had plenty of 40's and a few 45's...

So this will be Glock chance 2.0 my first 17 was the biggest POS I ever owned.

5 failure to feed in the first 50 rounds. Not a good start

One of which was with some PDX1's that I think the OAL is too long cause they are jamming every 9 I have, even the ones that have never had so much as a hiccup. So I will excuse that one. Still 4 out of 50 is a high percentage...

My Gen4 has never had an extraction issue and I know others who've had similar situations. In fact, I've never seen a Gen4 at our club that's had a problem I knew of.

I'm approaching 3,000 rounds through mine.

I have two, and they get shot on a regular basis, and Ive had no troubles. The RTF 17's are my favorites, and the only glocks I dont bother stippling.

I actually have a number of gen 3 17's, and they all seem to work fine. When I have had issues, it was "old brass" related. By that I mean, they had been reloaded so many times, the rims were all tore up and I think the extractor was having issues getting a good hold. Switch to factory, or fresh realods, and the problem immediately goes away.

I have a G19 RTF2 that is somewhere between 500 to 1,000 rounds without a single failure of any type.

Shot a 100rds today with no issues.. Maybe I should have left all that never seize in there.. Lol
