Assembly passes 21 knee-jerk bills restricting the rights of law abiding citizens.

The most onerous are the ones

Requiring training to get a Firearms Owners Identification card

Requiring renewal of the FOID card every 5 years

No online purchase of ammunition

These are designed only to make it harder for otherwise free people to keep and bear arms.

anything that can be done by those out of state beyond use you as examples of the slippery slope?
 
Move to Eastern PA, perhaps Westchester. Beautiful place! (I KNOW it's not feasible for most, just a thought…)
 
Magazines going from 15 to 10 will not affect me as I have only bought 10 round magazines.

Curiously, the Bills did not include a more strict ban on "Assault Weapons" dropping the evil features from 2 to 1. This would have been a pain, because it would have required a separate provision to allow grandfathered new Assault Weapons to be registered.

He should've stepped up already. The guy claims to be a conservative, but first he kisses Obama's butt and now this rollover on these gun bills. I'm liking him less and less.

Not "fold;" say rather, that he will "show his true colors." This is, after all, the man who just recently said: ‘I’m not much different from Andrew Cuomo. Yep. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. If you are are a gun owner in New Jersey, you are going to be screwed. There really isn't any room for doubt on this. You are about to have your rights infringed, and there's basically nothing you can do to stop it at this point. It's going to happen. As we said in the army: BOHICA.

The really crummy thing about this is, Christie being a republican, he's going to screw you, and campaigning to get him voted out next election will, in all likelihood, accomplish nothing. The only alternative to him is a Democrat, who is almost certain to be as bad or worse on this issue. Thank God I live in Virginia.

I'm no ballistics expert but last I checked can't most large bore rifle ammo penetrate body armor?

What level? If it's NIJ Level IV they're considering, that stops pretty much anything short of .50 BMG or certain monolithic solids in powerful dangerous game calibers. If it's Level I, kiss your 9mm and .22 magnum goodbye.

If I remember correctly there is no hunting in NJ with a rifle, only shotguns. Too bad for the residents of NJ that hunt in PA.
 
If any of the other restrictions would affect a gun owner visiting NJ, please detail them and direct us to the members/government bodies that we can contact and rattle.

Chris Christie is an anti- gun RINO. He's like Obama. He might pretend to support gun rights, but he would sell you out in a heartbeat.
