With the new laws in il I can have sbrs. I'm into ars. If I register a lower I'd there a limit to the number of sub 16" uppers I can have?

If you have any non-sbr'd lowers there's always the possibility of "constructive intent", but if your only lower is an sbr, no problem.

So it sounds like a gray area as some say constructive intent is litterally BS. And I cant see the need to sbr every lower I own or accquire? I already own a few non sbr ars that I will not ALSO register.

Constructive possession isn't really BS...but you are unlikely to have an issue unless you are dumb as a stump. Technically, if you do NOT have a SBR lower (meaning stamp-in-hand) or a pistol lower, you can't have short uppers. So if you decide to get ahead of things, don't take the short upper, put it on your plain jane AR rifle lower and take it to the very busy range to show it off. Could go wrong. Otherwise, no sweatie-da, GI.

But the answer to your original question is as was already said is no limit.

Ha ha....what if you have NO lowers at all? Then having a short-barreled upper is just fine. :)
