For those of you that have one or haven't seen one, here's a pic of my Timba.

Ahh, a Benchmade before they were Benchmade, but after they were American Balisong. Cool collectible.

Just the pic, if you enlarge it the color is grey/silver.

Yeah, pre Benchmade and when they were made here in CA. I keep looking for the sister knife of the Timba, which is the Fer De Lance. Basically the Timba but w/o the saw teeth on the blade.

I have the original box and sheath also,

I've had the knife for about 25 years, while I would never use the saw teeth, the knife is light and would make a good fighter.

Still have it?

I remember the ads in SOF mag when I was in the military, that and being from CA is why I bought the Timba.

LOL, yeah I was joking.

I grew up in the San Fernando Valley (think valley girl) and North Hollywood wasn't to far.

For anyone that has a blade with an aggressive sawtooth back.... they do not make "good fighters" at all.... Some years ago I read a first person account that detailed just what happened when that blade type was used in bayonet fashion..... Simply put, if it's in flesh you'll have a very hard time getting it back....

I thought at the time that it was a blade style I'd pass on for cqb stuff....
