Which 124 grain 9mm?

I load and shoot a lot of the Berrys HBRN 124gr. Love them.

For plinking? Get what's cheaper... I've used both, no issues with either.

Xtreme or RMR Bullets are cheap plinkers too

My vote goes to precision delta, I've produced some surprisingly accurate loads with these.

Precision Delta, just received 2000 that they had on sale last week.

I shoot both PD and Xtreme and like both

I also shoot both the PD 124 JHP and the BRY 124 HBRN-TP and like both for Minor PF comp. loads and general range practice.

The Berry's bullet will load at max length for any pistol meeting SAAMI specs. The PD will need to be loaded shorter for CZs, XDs and any with shorter chambers. They are also a 'long' bullet.

I shoot Xtreme 124 gr HPs for competition and plinking and have nothing but good things to say.

I've never used the RN Berry's, but I've used the Precision Delta FMJ bullets and the Berrys 124 grain HP. The Precision Detla's shoot very well and are one of my favorite bullets. The Berry's on the other hand shot like absolute crap. No matter what I did, they never shot well. They were inaccurate enough that I can't even keep them on an 8" target. I highly doubt I'll ever spend my money with Berry's again, but I know some people do like their bullets.

I use lead bullets for 9mm range ammo, they are cheap. If you're worried about leading give a try with coated bullets. They work very well and cost very little more than plain lead but less than plated bullets and a lot less than FMJ bullets....

Precision Delta and Bayou Bullets, used 'em both, Bayou is cheaper, the PD are JHPs, so I get a little extra for the money.

I'm not a fan of Berry's. I have trouble getting a consistent OAL with them for some reason. I like the Xtreme for plated bullets, and Falcon, SNS or Missouri Bullet for lead and coated.

For plinking I like Missouri Bullet 125 Cones. (Lead) They have them both coated and uncoated. Both shoot well for me.

I have a small sample of RMRs new coated bullets that I got from BDS as PIF. I have not had a chance to shoot them yet but he has had good luck with them.

You can't go wrong with either Berrys or PD but Extreme has them both beat with cost. I haven't tried Extreme yet but they seem to be taking over so they must be good. I got POed with Berrys during the craziness after Sandy Hook and switched to cast from Missouri Bullet and so far haven't looked back. There is a huge difference between MBC and other cast projectiles.

if your just plinking, go for the cheapest. I am a big fan of Precision Delta. 124's and 147's.

I've shot over 4000 of the Xtreme 124g HP this year and my wife over 2000 and we like them. Now they're making the 135's and 147's in HP. I'm undecided on the 147's that I've shot. Shot them in one GSSF match and it was mediocre, but I think it was just me.

Have you shot these before? I see 2 different versions of the 124 round nose.

I've shot a lot of the standard 124 xtreme plated. I don't know if I've shot the CB or not. I imagine I would be able to tell no difference if I replaced one with the other in my loads. I use xtreme and berry's 124s interchangeably. I don't even have to adjust my seating die.

I have looked at the HP, but is not sure if it is worth paying $46.48 instead of the $39.90 for the 9mm-124 RN. Is there that much difference in performance?

What powder do you use for your pet load?

RMR provides quality products and very fast service. I've used many brands and feel RMR is a great value

I'm using 3.6 grains of Titegroup with the Xtreme 124gr. HP
