A 9mm didn't immediately take down a Gazelle? Imagine that, I doubt a .45 would fair much better. Maybe Glock or Kahr 9mm would have done better?

This was my reason for moving away from a M9 for personal use, the dang lever in of itself and then, secondary, the position of it. Freaking nightmare with my hands for presenting the weapon.

The M9 is an excellent sidearm. Military personnel don't have the luxury to pick and choose what they are issued, they learn the weapon. Civilians can and it is a bit laughable at some the opinions etc. voiced about weapons, specs, ammo, blah and blah. If you can't or don't know how to use it it...

Yeah, they don't train anyone how to properly handle a weapon. To even qualify with a weapon gents usually have dry fire more than most will do in a lifetime.

IMO. Cheap go Stag, good rifle. Expensive go Colt, good rifle w/ resale if you decide to trade up. I really can't offer much more to the excellent analysis already presented.
