Just like to add... I have a TASCO world class 3x9 mil dot that I used on an 8mm Mauser for 11 years without any loss of zero or other problems. I replaced it with Leatherwood, but still have the Tasco. It cost less than 100 bucks when I bought it. It's still very price worthy.

I've found BSAs are very fine for the price. Many selections in the area you are looking.

My best ever 30-06 load is with Sierra 240 grian match kings with 47.0 grain IMO 4064 The ballistic chart gives me a 1300 meter transonic round that put 5 rounds in a thumb nail sized circle at 100 meters. Amazingly the recoil was less than my 270 loads. Blitz
