    Stuck AR bolt

Find a steel bar that you can fit the end of into the slot at the rear of the bolt carrier. Hold the upper assembly with the steel bar sticking out of the bolt carrier. Have your friend whack the bar with a hammer. Driving thr B C back should cam the lugs and eject the laser. Good luck

    Swapping Cylinders For Reload?

you will want to read "three years with Quantrill" Lots of good gun details. At one point the author tells of passing a house where he and his bushwacker friends had shot it out with union cavalry a few days before. A young lady flags him down and returns a cylinder that had been dropped in the...

Ammo for Rossi circuit judge 45lc and 410 ?

I don't trust buffalo bore in a judge or anything else it has not been labeled for. I saw a uberti revolver that had the top strap blow off, supposedly from buffalo bore 45 lc. As for .410 I use federal 3" steel #7. Even with the choke the pattern will be blown past 25 yards, but steel shot...

.22 Mag Shot Is Not Enough for Timber Rattler

Once upon a time. with a Webley MK. 6 loaded with speer 45acp.shot I leaned forward in the saddle and shot a cottontail at spitting distance SQUARE in the back . He hopped back to his briar patch...I have no use for shot less than .410. For snakes the best weapon is a flexible green stick a...

Sword and Pistol in Previous Conflicts

prior to modern revolvers the pistol was best used in the left hand, blade in the right. Flintlock and early percussion guns were notorious for misfiresl only useful up close and good for only one shot. If you look at a 1870s era US Cavalry trooper you will see the saber hanging on the left...

    MAS36 rear sight leaf.

I have a couple of mas36 and like most old military rifles the battle sight was apparently set to aim at a mans knees for a center mass hit. Try cramming a shim on top of the sight leaf, to hold it down. That usually will get it onto the paper. you can drill the peep hole a little larger with a...

    WW2

thank you Savage for sharing the photo. I hope someone recorded the story that goes with it, is a sad thing for history to be lost or taken out of context. It appears to show a NCO or Officer in US uniform inspecting veteran troops in IJA uniform. My guess is that such an event may be from...

    Backpack rifle opinion

I had one in .243, not very accurate. Lots of vertical dispersion, at 100 yards groups were about a foot tall by 4 inch. If you can get yours to group ok it should be an ideal backpack, survival tool.
