Does this exist? (.22 Compact Question)

The only problem with that thought is that he has stated that she has an LCR in 22LR, and neither of them care for the trigger. Im a Smith and Wesson fan myself, but I will admit that the trigger on an LCR is one of the best out of the box for a small revolver. If that is too much, there is...

Rossi 44 mag just arrived. Never again.

The one I have, and the one my dad bought after I got mine were pretty similar. Neither one would win a beauty contest, but they are functional, and hit what I aim at. As far as the wood finish, I would gladly take the couple hundred dollars I saved over a similar marlin, and do a little...

Does this exist? (.22 Compact Question)

The Walther options in 21a, and ppk/s are both excellent options. I purchased a Bersa 22 for my son a few years back, and while an accurate pistol, it leaves a lot to be desired in reliability for CC duty. Another idea, if she has a p22 and likes the feel of it, look at the PK-380. When my...

Component shortage reveals least popular powders?

Its not all bad, either, as it kinda forces some of us to try powders that we normally wouldnt use, possibly finding a new favorite for whatever use. I have a decent stock of powders that I already use, but I have picked up a pound of a few different ones recently that were looking lonely on...

    Opinions On Shoulder Holsters

I have the old Galoco rig, but I tend to go with IWB carry most of the time. It is just easier for me, and if I am someplace that I want to take off my jacket, its still concealed. The main exception to this is when Im on my motorcycle, as the shoulder rig tends to feel a bit more secure, and...

    Shoulder Holster

I have a Galco Jackass rig for my 1911. It isnt a bad setup, though I wish the straps were a bit wider over my shoulders. The one thing I would suggest before buying a shoulder rig, make sure its something that you will use. I thought is would be the best method to carry a bigger gun, but...

    Browning Hi-Power ? Values vary?

All I know is I paid $600 for mine, and it was near perfect when I brought it home. It has since picked up a bit of carry wear, but those of you that own a high power can probably understand this. I love my 1911s, and would never think of getting rid of them, but the High-Power is quickly...

Awww. Look what followed me home.

Congratulations. No worries, if you wanted it, and were willing to pay their price, that is all that matters. You know, you can make up for that purchase by shopping around and finding a few really good deals on other guns now. It would be like you never over paid at all, lol. That is how I...

What is the best deer, hog, and black bear revolver

My current handgun selection that would cover that spectrum would be either my SBH 7 1/2 " 44 Mag, or my Vaquero in 45 Colt, both are about equal with heavy loads for planting about anything in the lower 48. The only thing I have recently been looking at is the Bisley Hunter. I had the...

    9mm Carry Ammo

When I owned a G26, I fed it the Fed 9BPLE load. It was accurate, and the gun handled it well. My current load is the Remington 124gr BJHP in the +P variety. The 9BPLE is just a bit hot for my Hi-Power, but the Remington load is warm without beating up my Browning. At this point, I think I...

    Springfield V-10 Ultra Compact

The 40 is a bit snappier round, so the porting would be a bit louder with it. I have had a v-10 for 4 years or so now, and do carry it on occasion. It isnt noticeably louder than a standard Colt officers model, and thought the porting does help with follow up shots, its isnt bad without...

    220 gr sp for whitetail??

Like others have said, probably overkill for deer, but the price is right. On the up side, the chance of one exploding and ruining lots of meat should be greatly reduced with the heavier/slower bullet combination, kinda like some old timers that used the .375 H&H for deer used to say "you can...

8x57 or 35 Whelen for a North American Beater

Bigger bore beater woods gun, brutish power? The .375 H&H would fill that bill a bit better. Or, since you mentioned a peep sight, maybe a Marlin lever gun in 45-70? either of these rounds will, when loaded to their full potential, plant anything in North America with authority. The 30-06...

    Rechambering a .222 to .223

.222 has been the ONLY small caliber centerfire ammo available in my area for a few months now. Rechambering to something that is non existent seems a bit counter-productive, especially for little to no gain in ballistics. I would just pick up dies for the .222, get a little brass, and revel...

What are your opinions of MecGar Magazines?

My only Mec-Gar marked mags I own are for my Hi-power, and they function %100 and look better than the factory Browning Mags (even if they are still Mec-Gars) For the money, they are the best thing out there IMHO.
