I shoot Berger 168gr VLD bullets out of a target .308 Varmint rig.....bullets are touching the lands......Walt Berger endorses this and provides load data too....

    Smith -Accuracy Problem

One other thing to do is mic the exit hole diameter of the cylinder. The exit holes should mic right at the same diameter or slightly smaller than the bullets you are shooting. If the cylinder exit holes are bigger than your bullets.......bingo!!...might need a new cylinder fitted. In any...

I'm so good at shooting!! My groups are amazing.

Nice shooting. Now take it out to 250+ yards. You will really see how well the gun, ammo, and shooter's skills are combined to maintain shot placement. All the best!!!

    .223 Varmint rifle needs scope?

YodaVader, Re the Leupold VX-III 8.5x25x40 AO scope, the clarity is excellent. I purchased my first one in 1999 and mounted it to the Winchester M70 .308W seen in the link in my previous post (to the far left). The 40mm objective mounts lower on bolt guns, but on an AR, that is not such...

I recently purchased a RRA Varmint 20" job, see the recent post on my evaluation of shooting it at 250 yards. http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=223852 For quality and price, go with the RRA.....I was initially skeptical and had originally thought if the rifle was not good enough...
