    Sportsman's Warehouse Finally Restocking?

We in Tallahassee FL are still out of stock too. I keep swinging by hoping a truck will come in soon. I was in Tallahassee visiting relatives New Years weekend and stopped in SW. I needed a #9 shell holder. They had every shell holder size except what I needed. Some shelves were rather...

    range costs?

$75 a year, outdoor range, covered benches, bring your own targets and frames. I am retired and shoot during the week when it is not crowded.

    Add What? to Tumbling Media

I was going to use mineral spirits in my media and found that I was out. After pricing it at WalMart, I decided I didn't need it that bad (a quart bottle was over $5!). Instead of mineral spirits I put in a spoon full of GoJo hand cleaner, the kind sold in auto parts stores. I mashed it up...

Gotta give credit where credit is due (Kel-Tec)

+1 for KelTec from me also. Not because of great customer service, but because I've never had to use it. My 2nd Gen. P3AT runs like Swiss watch (even though it doesn't look like one!)

    Dardas Cast Bullets Has Moved!

More praise for Dardas Cast Bullets. I emailed Matt about oversized (.433" diameter) .44 Rem. Mag. bullets for my overbored Puma 92. He did not have a mold for these, but at my request he ordered a mold for my needs. I ordered a 1000 bullets and shot them for the first time last week...

    Purchasing guns online

I have bought from both Bud's and Impact Guns. My local FFL charges $25 for the transfer. Bud's lists most of their guns with shipping included, but if you use a credit card to purchase they add a surcharge, I think 3%. I also ordered a gun from Gunbroker from a retail shop out west. I...

Why are ammo prices still high?

Like Coronach said, they will backdoor gun control by going after the ammo. Remember last year when OSHA was proposing the regulation to treat ammo stored and sold at retail locations as if it were high explosives, with the same security, storage, and paperwork requirements that would...

    What's the Most reliable .22lr?

I have owned a Remington Nylon 66 since 1972. I haven't shot 100,000 rounds, like the Remington test did, but I do not recall any failure to fire that was not the fault of the ammo. And I have never had a failure to feed or stovepipe. It is an amazing little rifle. Accurate enough, light and...

Which .22 round for home defense?

Vicdotcom, You are taking the right approach. If, God forbid, your wife had to use a weapon in a home invasion situation, the most important thing is that she is WILLING and ABLE to use a weapon against the bad guy. If she feels comfortable and capable with the Marlin .22, then that is the...

    .22 good bets?

Ditto on the Savage. I have a MKII BV and am very happy with it. This is a target (50 yds, 22X scope, adjustable front rest and rear bag) I shot this week using Winchester Dynapoint bulk ammo. If I use match grade ammo (Wolf ME) I get even smaller one hole groups, with no fliers.

Good red dots for under $75???

Ditto on the Millet. I have one on my Browning Buckmark Camper and really like it.
