Any vendor who won't cut a tie to allow proper examination of a firearm isn't worth dealing with. There are way too many people with poor gun-handling manners to have them not tied in such a manner as to make them inoperable.

That is not correct. The vendor brought that rifle in, and has been 86'd from Wes' shows. It was a lever-action Savage in .300 Savage. The part about the vendor bringing in the rifle comes straight from Wes. I saw the rifle myself. Absolutely a Savage lever gun.

Yup. The mag is the heart of the AK and a big factor in it's reliability. If you don't have a reliable mag, you don't have a reliable gun. One caveat: if you can find US-made floorplates for AK mags, that counts.

I just picked up a Romarm/Cugir AK at a gunshow for a song, and so far I absolutely love it. Everything lines up properly, it seems to shoot plenty straight, and of course, it goes bang every time. It looks and feels to me to be as good of quality as any other AK I've shot/handled/manipulated.

I've got a model 88 and love it. It was kinda crusty when I got it, so I detail stripped and cleaned it. Now, it's one of the silky-smoothest lever guns I've ever operated. Plenty accurate, and about as light as a 56 year old gun gets. A keeper for sure. This one is my second, having foolishly...
