    Now for something funny

Correct me if I'm wrong, but those holes are for screwing in picatinny rail segments. You attach the lasers and such from the picatinny rail segments, not the holes themselves.

need something out of the ordinary

+1 on the K31. I own one and it is a VERY accurate rifle, and has similar power to a .308. The only problem he may encounter is finding ammunition.

    About AK Accuracy..

I was unaware of the slant brake throwing off the accuracy! I will have to remove mine and try shooting again. The crown on my rifle does look a little rough though. Would recrowning possibly help or is it impossible due to the threading on the muzzle?

    About AK Accuracy..

It's a 7.62x39. It is usually an honest 2.5-3 moa gun with the wolf I run through it possibly even slightly better if I really take my time. Mine does also tend to walk the rounds high right as the barrel heats up.

    About AK Accuracy..

Ah, I forgot to mention, I am using a 4x POSP scope on my AK mounted to the side rail. it hangs far enough over the iron sights so that I can still use them which I like. The POSP scope seems to work really well for me as far as improving the accuracy I get over the irons. I just dialed the...

    About AK Accuracy..

This particular range allows you to setup paper at 100,200, and 300 yards so I will also try to shoot some paper next time I go as well. I have to say I LOVE the Tapco G2 trigger on the rifle. The ammo used was simple Wolf 123gr Polyformance but the rifle seems to like all wolf ammo I run...

    About AK Accuracy..

So I was out at my 1000 yard range the other day and decided to take a break from my Savage .308 after the scope mounts came loose and pull out my AK. I took a few shots at 100 yards offhand for fun and got a decent 4.5 MOA 10 shot group which I thought wasn't that bad considering I don't...

    Range report Saiga 308

Thank you for the report! I've been looking into either building a .308 style AR or getting a Saiga .308, always good to see user reports. Glad you like the gun.

    10/110 BA 338 Lapua.

I personally like the NXS 5.5-22X56 with NPR-1 reticle, I find that the higher magnifications get pretty blurry even with quality glass like Nightforce (though it does not bother some people) I find I don't need the extra magnification but depending on how far you want to take that .338 (It can...

Found the right rifle in the wrong caliber. Help :(

I agree on the .300 mag. It can be loaded with monster 208 A-Max bullets to even 240 gr SMKs allowing you to shoot to a mile+ if needed or with lighter bullets giving you loads similar to the 30-06. The .300 is a nice all around caliber but it also comes with some stout recoil when shooting the...

    Top 5 'wish list'

    1. AR-15 5.56 (with a 6.8 SPC II upper and mags) 2. DPMS .260 3. Serbu .50 BMG :D 4. M1 Garand 5. Yugo M76 (Just something about that gun that makes me want it)

Just picked up my Polytech M14S

Very jealous! Good find. As far as scope mounts go, Sadlak is regarded as a nice mount for the M1A IME, might want to give it a look.

Ability and role/future of the M-27 IAR

Was anything ever done with the .338 Norma Magnum Machine Gun from General Dynamics?

    Very Strange

True, however, I would have thought other bad things would happen. Now, I don't know much at all about shooting undersized calibers in rifles, but I'd think the firing pin might have protruded through the primer all the way causing safety issues of their own (Not sure if this is possible or not)...
