    Yes a 22 will afford you more range time and you can share the cost of the 45 ammo making it cheaper for both you. If you want a center fire for yourself than I would go with the XD 45. An excellent gun and an easy gun to operate for someone just starting.

    Agreed, as a used gun you have no idea what that gun has been subjected to before you traded for it. Not necessarily the fault of the manufacturer. I guess " shoot it like a rented gun " and don't worry.

    Don't know about the higher end guns by EAA, but I have a standard Witness model and it is a well made gun, and a good shooter.
