    . If you're still looking for info on this, I know of an excellent gun smith. His name is Brian Donohue. He used to be a Marine sniper and really knows his stuff. Even though I live in Cattaraugus County, I would still make the trip to his shop. I have had him do handgun work for me in the past...

    . Thanks for your quick reply Radagast. The '76 manufacture date sounds about right as I bought the gun new in late Fall of '76. I always assumed it's DOB was '76, although many years later the s/n did not seem to precisely nail it down. .
