I enjoy the hornady trimmer I got a few years back. I prefer the manual just because I dont have to have one more cord hanging around. Plus It makes me feel like im trimming that much more consistently. :D
IMR 4350 is the best all around powder in my 8x57. I use 45 grs with a 220 gr sierra GK and 45 grains with a 200 gr MK. Dead accurate with both. This is in a mixed parts german k98.

Here is an update on my project so far.
I have decided to go a different route with the front sight. I removed the front sight block (thank you harbor Freight hydraulic press!) and I am going to place the front HK sight in place of the front sight block. Now I run into two issues...
for the front sight I was thinking about removing the whole front sight block and placing the new front sight over the gas block. That would give the two lower circles in the sight something to be around, the lowest circle around the barrel and the middle circle around the gas block.

For the most part I like CAI. Some guns they sell you are great. Some are not so great. I have had great luck with all their Ak's. Those milled polish aks. look awesome and feel awesome. let me know how you like it and how it shoots!
