    H&K .45s'

Thanks for the positive feedback. I guess I get a little concerned about carbon fiber gun parts; must be an age thing..."If it ain't steel, it's just a toy." I owned and shot a Glock 17, and it was absolutely reliable. Just having a hard time getting past the "plastic gun syndrome".

"If you like your attacker up close...yes, it's better then a gun. For me; I like to keep distance between attacker and me, so i prefer the gun. if you are worried about noise - just get a tube for your gun ." Believe me!! I agree wholeheartedly. If I had my choice the BG would be 300 yds...

    Automag II 22 Magnum

I guess that's a fairly good reason. I had one of their .22 LR autos' and really liked it,(Ruger knockoff). The only ammo that it liked was the Remington Yellowjackets.

Anyone tried out the H&Ks'? I went to their website and drooled over the Mark 23; I lusted somewhat less when I saw the MSRP. The compact version of the Mark 23, was definitely more appealing price wise. OH Santa Claus, where are you when I need you?

    Automag II 22 Magnum

.22 automag AMT used to make a .22 automag. I don't think that they produce them any longer. I'm certain that they can still be found, but if it was a very successful model, I think that it would still be in production. Maybe a .22 mag. revolver would be a viable solution. If an auto loader...

hso Thanks for the ammo forum info. I'm still not certain which forums allow which discussion. I agree that a cutting weapon is very formidible, although I wouldn't want a BG to get that close. In a real tight situation a sharp blade is going to be a very nice option.

I'm afraid there are times that I might just qualify. Has anyone tried the Federal EFMJ ammo? I've heard that sometimes .45s' have a hard time digesting JHP ammo and the EFMJs' may present a very viable alternative.

hso and sm; Thanks for the welcome. hso; I think; "On the internet no one knows you are a mouth-breathing moron. Until you post. " Not exactly the welcome my Mom would've given me.

I'm so pissed. I can't believe what I did with this guy.

Generosity I used to transport vehicles all over the U.S.; to get from one site to the next, I rode a lot of Grey Hound buses. Virtually every stop at least 2 or 3 "s.o.b." stories poured out. I fell for it a few times, but that really got old quick. Finally cured of my "Humanitarian...

Hmm. Tomahawk or Pistol? I guess I'd put a few 9mm. rounds through the intruder, then question him with the tomahawk.
