    I too like the old Fed 9BPLE load . Granted it's old technology but effective . Since I live in a semi - tropical climate & don't have to worry to much about heavy clothing it works for me . I also like the Speer Gold Dot 124 +P & the Ranger 127+P . In 45acp I use the Fed 230 HST +P .

    Blue Wonder works if you heat the metal up first . With any of them everything must be totally degreased , heat it up & apply . Let it dry & rub it down I use bronze wool & coat as many times as it takes to get the finish you desire .

    If your bore slugs out @ .4527 then yes a .453 is what you need . If your buying & not casting your own see if someone will sell you unsized bullets .
