As a paramedic in Hotlanta during the '70s we saw some quite unusal discharges. One natilly dressed bro down on Auburn Avenue decided he was tired of a painfully decayed tooth. The .32 he kept in his pocket for fun did a fine job of getting rid of the tooth..plus a few inches of jawbone.

I know we are not fighting zombies but one aspect of cannalures I didn't see mentioned is terminal effect.
I have read that in the 5.56 the cannalure helps the round to break up and increase target damage. I wouldn't think this changes whether one crimps or not.
For fans of the 1903 Colt in .32 I know of one "goblin" (Jeff Cooper's term) who no longer walks this earth. One shot from my friend's '03 with a fmj
vapor locked his fuel pump. He was in the process of beating a woman half to death and when my friend intervened he unwisely pulled a gun. To...
I put the Hogue wrap around rubber grips on my Springfield 1911. From an Uncle Mikes polymer holster my middle finger snags a groove perfectly and makes for a very fast draw.

Wlewisii,, Do you shoot your Hsc much? I always loved the look of the pistol. Finally traded for one and it was the heaviest recoiling .380 I ever fired. Not fun.
I would have to say the Browning Hi Power is in a class of it's own...since 1935!
Yeah, the firing pin was probably faulty. Fortunately the distributor took it back no questions asked.\\
My PD was probably one of the best CC pistols I ever had. Really kick myself for letting it go.
I had an AMT Backup in .45 that was great for it's purpose. I had my gunsmith do a...
If you do have one do NOT dry fire it even once! I had not even gotten to the range, 2nd click went "bloop" and the tip of the firing pin falls out of the barrel. Getting a replacement pin proved impossible (and this was years ago when they were being produced.
I've had most Glock models and have always been delighted with their reliability. The only problems I have ever had was with a gen 2 model 20 and ftf's. Turns out my bright idea to lube the striker was the cause.
Has anyone tried the slim model 30? I tried to like the 36 but it seemed to...
I really do understand that any alteration that adds anything that comes in contact with the shoulder would be restricted. However a cheek weld is the plan and would not contact the shoulder. The biggest stabilizing effect is the complete flexion of the firing arm, the cheek weld would add one...
I have the longer length Draco which I have fitted with the Magpul AFG, Tapco furniture and a Krink style flash hider. Playing, around I put an EO Tech optic on and a Zytel magazine to minimize weight.
Now I can pull the pistol back toward my shoulder and feel pretty solid but if I somehow...
Back in the '70s I traded off a Colt 1903 .32acp to a friend. He got in between a sociopath and a beaten woman and had a gun pulled on him.
Long story short it was a one shot stop..through the heart (fmj 71gr). It
was ruled a justifiable homicide.
Though I really feel good carrying a piece...
Yeah, I remember the video of a surgeon holding a bloody expanded round explaining that it was even dangerous to the medical staff to handle after removal from the victim. Dunno if BTs really did expand with sharp points from the jacket all around but if so all the better. I say if you are going...
