    Best ballistic app?

On Android I use the paid Strelok Pro version. Works well for me, although I'm by no means a sub-MOA long distance shooter.

Bluegun (laserlyte) and laser targets: Training Value?

I read elsewhere that SIRT M&P "beta test" models were sent out last October to testers. I read one testers comments and it appears they still needed some improvements. I've not been able to find any information on release date. Hopefully it will be early this year.

Dog leash in one hand, flashlight in the other...

Wear a headlamp to free up one hand. This has the added advantage that you light up what you look at. There are a lot of good choices at different price points. I've had issues with off-leash dogs while walking my dog and wanted to keep one hand free. So after much research I just bought a...

Tried to zero my rifle at 50 feet and this was the result

I just re-sighted my deer rifle to get bulls-eye at 50 and 100 yrds. I don't want any sighting errors to add up to a bad shot on the day.

Question about fluing with a relatives pistol or rifle

You also need to check the situation re markings (manufacturer, serial number etc) and what is required by BATF to transfer them via an FFL.

    left handed shooter

Skribs - not sure what you are looking for but the S&W M&P can be made fully left handed, at least mine can. The mag release swaps to the other side and the slide release is ambi.

Question about fluing with a relatives pistol or rifle

Google "buds guns ffl search" and use their FFL search to find a closer dealer to you. The last reported transfer fee is listed on their website as a guideline.

    At home, during the day

I'm just in process of looking at Remora Holsters. The grippy ones get great reviews everywhere I've looked and do not require a belt or firm waistband for in-home concealed carry. They appear to work well with shorts, sweat pants, etc. I don't have one yet so cannot give an actual in-use...

? about leaving a gun in an unsecured environment

Assuming the Marlin has no particular emotional or family memories then seems like a good plan. Personally I prefer non-1911 platforms but if that works for you go for it.

Wild hog hunting outlawed in tn

Wild hog hunting is also illegal in Kansas, but it is possible to get a permit to destroy wild hogs. They are trying to prevent wild hog hunting turning into a business where only a percentage of the herd would be killed each year, instead of the entire herd.

Mossberg 500 - Turkey/Grand Slam Turkey without porting?

Appreciate the clarification. I was wanting the 20" anyway, so perfect.

Mossberg 500 - Turkey/Grand Slam Turkey without porting?

Thanks Nate. Being new to shotguns I was finding some of this confusing. I already use electronic muffs for deer hunting.

Mossberg 500 - Turkey/Grand Slam Turkey without porting?

I am a lefty shooter buying my first shotgun for primarily turkey hunting and and secondarily for HD, although based on shell count fired many more rounds will be fired at the range. I've no interest at all in upland birds, and any clays would be just for fun/practice with the turkey gun. I've...

What kind of light do you use for your safe?

Use the under-cabinet type rope light, strung around the door opening, and connected to a switch. Works pretty well and is low cost.
