    25 ACP Hollow Point

there is still a place for tiny semi-automatics...nobody in this thread is claiming a 25 HP round is their first choice for self defense and I'm sure thats not what you're saying either....but to act as if there is no place for a mouse-gun(and their anemic cartridge) is just silly. and in the...

    25 ACP Hollow Point

the truth, like most things in life, is NOT a simple black & white answer. ignore people who claim hollow points won't work....there are good HPs out there for the 25acp that will expand as designed. the problem(s) as others have mentioned, is reliable feeding, followed by reduced penetration...

New AR Build - BCG Getting Stuck in Rear Position

yes I understand where the BCG operates....but because it keeps getting hung up, it was very difficult and time consuming to "dry cycle" the BCG enough times to start seeing wear but I finally think I've got some results....here are some pictures. first of all, I have a strong hunch that it is...

New AR Build - BCG Getting Stuck in Rear Position

yes precisely my point...identifying WHAT part(s) is causing the problem is more important(and productive) than identifying WHO made the part(s). no brand on the market is without its share of problems...

New AR Build - BCG Getting Stuck in Rear Position

well at this point, I think its safe to say something is out of spec...but I'm still unsure how this could be helpful in fixing the problem. BTW, i didn't mean to come across so snippy....I just see a lot of "brand elitism" on gun forums and I sort of assumed that was where you were going with...

New AR Build - BCG Getting Stuck in Rear Position

thanks for the help, I'll check the tube out closer and let you guys know what I find. when I re-installed the buffer assembly last night....I did push down on the buffer to make sure the spring wasn't the problem or to see if it was binding up without the BCG installed....but all seemed fine...

New AR Build - BCG Getting Stuck in Rear Position

Quality, all Anderson components in the lower/buffer...although I'm not sure why that is even relevant at this point(unless of course, you are trying to prove how much better your favorite expensive brand is...)

New AR Build - BCG Getting Stuck in Rear Position

so yeah....i just double checked the buffer tube and there is essentially nothing I can do....the end plate will only line up once every couple turns on the threads and there is only one place that I can get everything to line and properly hold the detent down. if i crank it any further, it...

New AR Build - BCG Getting Stuck in Rear Position

I agree, I am not sure how I could of improperly installed the buffer tube....but I'll re-do it and make sure its tightened until it stops. i don't think it can be the bolt catch, but I'll check that as well. thanks guys, very helpful stuff

New AR Build - BCG Getting Stuck in Rear Position

thank you sir for the quick reply. your suggestion seems right.... however, are there any tricks or tips for installing the buffer tube assembly correctly so as to avoid this issue in the first place? I really took my time when I was assembling this AR because its my first build...I'm very...

New AR Build - BCG Getting Stuck in Rear Position

Hello, Just finished up my first AR build....finally got everything I needed and did a thorough pre-cleaning and lube before putting it together. I slide the BCG in behind the charging handle and everything appears fine as it goes in nice and smooth. However, upon charging it for the first...

KT Sub2000 Gen 2 on Gunbroker

see this is where I have to disagree....my S2K 9mm Gen2 is extremely accurate...for its intended purpose and design. i've said it numerous times in this thread; the biggest mistake you can make when assessing the Sub2000...is to compare it to RIFLES. just because the gun is sold and classified...

The Cat's Out of the Bag

nope...but thanks for illustrating his(Tirod) point perfectly. if you actually read his post...you will see that his comment is about people who lack critical thinking skills and are more concerned with Obama's skin color than his actual policies. again, nobody mentioned race and even if they...

The Cat's Out of the Bag

nobody mentioned race or ethnicity in this thread except for you. just because you happen to be black, it doesn't mean you are automatically more qualified to pass judgement on someone on the basis of race. hating someone because of their race, is by definition, racism....even in jest. your...
