The article made mention of this, and in my opinion, it is exactly what's happening: CA is playing one-up with NY, since CA now no longer has the most restrictive gun laws in the nation. It's complete crap.

I say F-A-L, because it is an acronym and not a word. Same way you call an AR-15 as an A-R 15, and not an Arrrghh 15, or an AK-47 as an ack-47.

So the government goes through all these steps to track lawful gun owners, but what are they doing to track unlawful gun owners?? Inquiring minds want to know...

WASRs aren't built by century. They're imported and all century does is mill out the magwell and stamp their name on it. If they sub'd the rifle out, it's probably fine. Even if they built it, it's probably fine, assuming it's a bulgarian AK. If it's a Polish Tantal, I'd be wary of it...

Realistic pre-frenzy price gouging prices are right around 3500 retail in good condition as of this past summer, 2012. But I consider anything between 3000-4000 to be in the ballpark for private party.

I was going to make a similar comment along the lines of if they were so scared at the thought of making ammunition at home, maybe they should see my garage and all the AK-47s I've built... :D
