Have you weighed the bullets they might not be all the same weight. That could be one of the problems.I was given some surplus dud 9mm and they were all over the place.
When I shot NRA started with Blue dot and it worked well for me,but that was with 158gr. Many of us used it.Try some of these sugestions and see what makes the old girl happy.

Had a Rossi 92 in 357 mag,would fire 38 specials and not feed the 357 mags.spent 6 months at the gunsmith,got it working.By then I didn't like it and didn't trust it.Save your some trouble and get a Marlin.
When I worked at a small gun shop guy comes in all mad wallmart sold him the wrong ammo.He tells me that he tried to load it and it wouldn't fit ,had a box of 7mm mag, his rifle was 7x57.:confused:

Don't remove or disable the safety, if there is ever any accidents or a shootings you will be fair game for the police and any attorneys. Besides who wants a el chepo in there back pocket w/o a safety. Save a few $$$ for a better gun.
