My wife shoots just enough to handle the Springfield XDm in her nightstand. No recreational shooting, just proficiency maintenance. She has other interests!
I'm a Hornady fan myself, the FTX bullets seem to make sense and the local PD uses them. Hornady's website seems to indicate that their Critical Defense line is formulated with shorter barreled defense weapons in mind, while their Criitical Duty line is for full sized duty weapons and shooting...
I'll admit that I'm bad about cleaning firearms. Generally, after shooting, I'll run some Weapon Shield through the bore and wipe the exterior with a silicone cloth.
All firearms are kept in bore stores in my safe with a golden rod. I've never had a problem (other than they're dirty!).
I just checked every online vendor I've purchased from, and they are out of stock. I found some lead free for $39/box (ouch).
You're right. Must have missed the memo.
Ah, my alma mater....1974.
I had rifles and pistols in my dorm room Freshman and Sophomore year, then moved off campus. Would strap the rifle on the side of the motorcycle and head down to the quarry and have some quality time. I carried concealed a few times under my leather jacket (1911...
I'm equally at home with both. My primary EDC is a semi, but my pocket pistol is a revolver. I grew up shooting both, so my accuracy is the same regardless of what I shoot.
M&P40c with Apex Duty Trigger in VMII. It seems to be the appropriate compromise between size, calibre and capacity. It carries well and is more accurate than I.
Yes, I care. I'm not obsessive, but I make every effort to make it undetectable. My EDC is an M&P40c which seems to strike a good balance between size, weight, caliber and capacity. I haven't had any problem keeping it concealed under an untucked t-shirt.
I'm 6' and 225 lbs and carry IWB with an untucked t-shirt. I've found that Milt Sparks' Versa Max II holsters work best for me. The cant of the holster is enough that I can put it at 5 o'clock and it stays concealed. I use "The Beltman" belts and have found they can support whatever I carry...
I couldn't have said it better, except I haven't culled any of my previous purchases. I realized what a "problem" I had when I began building a new home and all my gun money began going for lights, faucets and cabinets.
