Ohio Man arrested for selling guns out of state

That's kinda what I'm thinking too, Deltaboy. Thanks, Sam, for the detailed response, also. I'm curious about a few things, mainly because I don't know much about buying and selling guns privately. Let's say I'm on vacation from OH in TN, and I bring my gun because I know of a range where I...

Ohio Man arrested for selling guns out of state

The recent thread here about selling guns without an FFL for profit, coupled with this story in today's local Columbus newspaper prompted me to start a new thread. Here's the story...

    Military service

I'm not retired, but I did 12 and some change on active duty (USAF), now I'm in the Reserves and going to school full time. Can't carry on campus, but everywhere else is fair game!

    Good .22 Pistol?

I can't speak to the Browning or the Sig, but I have a S&W 422 that I like quite a bit. Good shooter, that gun. Easy to use, easy to clean, fun to plink with. Not sure if they still make them, but they come up used quite often.

    Wounded by the 44 Magnum...

Heh...did anyone else chuckle at the fact that the OP's pic is labeled "attached thumbnail?" It doesn't take much for me, folks :)

Which Light Weight Revolver Would You Choose Poll?

M&P 340. Does everything a 442 can do, but it's tighter, lighter, has better sights, and has .357 capability.

    who here open carries?

Creature, I am intimately familiar with GO1. And I am also aware of its use in host nations. However, my wing commander did, in fact, place the entire lot of AFSOC personnel under GO1 for their trip to Nellis AFB because he was afraid of an incident which would affect the pin-on of his star...

    who here open carries?

Yes, you're reading that wrong. USARAK is US Army in Alaska, not Army Reserves. And as pretty much everyone on here has already said, the General is well within his right to tell the troops under his command that they can't do something that all other law-abiding citizens can do. Example...

Pulled over for first time CCW

Florida CCW is issued by the Dept. of Agriculture. The Sheriff's office is just the usual conduit to obtain said license. I went directly to the DoA to get mine, no sheriff involved. Thus, unless FL cops have access to the Dept. of Agriculture database from their cruisers (which is most...

    quad 40mm

Not accurate? Hey CWL, ever heard of the AC-130? 40mm Bofors, 105mm howitzer, and U-models have a 25mm Gatling gun...all slung onto a C-130 cargo plane. Lots of bad guys have met their maker in a fine pink mist courtesy of the 40mm. Dig it...

Gunna be flying commercial so here's a pic of how i'm packing. any suggestions?

Looks like you've got your bases covered. The only problem I see with your pistol case is that you're missing an upLULA :)

    M&p 340

I have an Uncle Mike's pocket holster for my M&P 340. It was $14. That's all the explanation you should need :) Seriously though, the guy who works at the store where I bought my 340 also carries one. Every day. He uses the Uncle Mike's, but he uses the size 4, the one for sub-compact...

    Breakfree...is it really that easy?

Thanks for all the replies! jnyork, this is for my handguns, so no wood stocks involved :) Thanks for that tip though, as eventually I'll blow the dust off my shotguns and rifles again and they too will need to be cleaned. I've been using my trusty Outers kit to clean my guns, and it's...

    Breakfree...is it really that easy?

Hey all, I picked up a can of breakfree today, and I'm wondering if it's really as easy to use as the label states. Do I really just spray it all over my gun, let it sit for a bit, and wipe it off? Obviously I'll field-strip first, but I've been using separate solvent and oil (the classic...

    M&p 340

The Hogue Monogrip still seems to rule the roost, thought the CT 305 is another popular model. The Monogrip is WAY cheaper though, so that would likely be a good place to start. Wood grips would seem like a better option for snag-free draw and carry, but I'd be willing to bet that anyone with...
