I've had the compact for several years. Recoil is soft and I've never had a failure. I still prefer a 1911 though. Better trigger and easier to conceal.

Is the 90-two the one with the rails? If so, look into crossbreed supertuck.

I went to 3 walmarts last week and couldn't find much ammo. I couldn't find any .45 but luckily found a couple of boxes of 9mm. They had a ton of .40 though.

I'm also a noobie acquiring my very first gun just two months ago. I was also on a budget and ended up buying a Taurus PT-99 for $400. Look up reviews on PT-92 or PT-99. I haven't had a single failure on mine and it's very accurate. Your cravings for firearms will never be satisfied...

1911 or xd-45 or both.

My first handgun is a used PT-99. Haven't had any issues so far and I only use cheap ammo from walmart.
