dodo, my buddies and i will chew up anyone that stands still long enough with that thing. its advertised at 400 yds, I'm skeptical, but its nuts on ass at 200 yds. tons of fun.

hb, I've not got a lot of experience with the scout scope, looking thru extras that i have i came across a vortex cantilever mount for a weaver rail. you're right on the way the scope is mounted now, i didn't try it, but it was like this when i bought it the other day.

looking for a good scout scope for a NEF sb2 .30-30. I'm about to look on the vortex website, but I'm partial to them and nikon. any ideas in the 200-500$ range ill listen to. that being said, any pics, stories, or info on the sb2 would be nice too.

i inherited a vanguard that my father in law used for hunting out west. i believe that is the smoothest action/best trigger combo. its still factory stock.

by brass prep you mean a tumbler, trimmer, is that right? other than caliber, what type of sorting should i be doing?
