Opinions on this nickel finish on a S&W?

I have a 29-2 that was stored in the presentation case (velvet like liner) for many years and it has those kind of cloudy spots. It also can be from the cleaners used on it.

Tell me about the Kahr K40...

The gun still has the plastic trigger stop with an unbroken seal on it! Completely unfired.

Tell me about the Kahr K40...

There is one on consignment at my local gun shop and it's NIB, they want $475. It feels really great in the hand, looks nice, but it is a bit on the heavy side. I have never owned or even fired .40, I assume it's much like .45 auto. I have been thinking about maybe a Seecamp instead, but finding...

Tell me about the Kahr K40...

Can I trust my life to this pistol? I am a traditional kind of guy, mostly .357 revolvers or 9mm and .45 autos. Tell me the good, bad and the ugly about both Kahr and about .40 caliber.:)

    Is the 357 fading away?

Both Beretta and Colt make .357's, single action only, but never the less they still make 'em! The .357 is still king of the revolver, long live the king, baby!

Need info on Colt Detective Special

You can find the original grips on Ebay all day long, but your going to pay some coin! For $200 if it is mechanically sound and looks nice, I'd go for it (it's a Colt from the glory days). I have a 1962 that I payed $450 (it came with some of the original papers, no box), it sat under an old...

    Colt Diamondback

Believe it or not, I am in SoCal!! Land of almost 10% sales tax and exempt from the 2nd Amendment! In all fairness though, my Diamondback's blueing is about 95% but it has the newer Detective Special wood grips on it instead of the original grips that should be on it. So, I will be out...

    Colt Diamondback

Gun Broker is always a good way to get an idea. I just bought a 1969 that is in about 95% without box or papers for $475 and I feel like I got a deal!:)

    Difference between a 686+ and 620

I have both with 4" bbl and I was suprised to find that my 620 is far more accurate than my 1996 686+, but the 686+ has a crisper trigger. I had read that the two piece barrel made the gun more accurate and I tend to believe it's true.
