Most accurate 9mm for under $1000

Star model 28/30/31. My 30 was shockingly precise...miss that pistol...another will come to me eventually.

Help me chose my EDC - final sense check

The M&P Shield is a really nice pistol. If I didn't already have my favorite antiques already, there would be a pair in my safes, one 9mm (left), and one .45 (right). However, I've noticed over the years that I don't just use ONE pistol for carry anymore. Now I have a rotation of three...

Why .40 when there is 10mm?

The guns are few?? There are currently 16 Manufacturer's making 10mm weapons, that's more than ANY other time in history. And that's just the ones I know about...probably at least two or three more out there... The ammo is best when Handloaded using Army Marksmanship Unit techniques. In...

For those who carry two handguns....

This is all I need...just 6. Why?? Why not?? Gang members typically come in PACKS...might as well treat 'em like Coyotes.

The most accurate small pistol you have fired?

this little rascal is making me very happy at the range lately... 71-grain seems to feed/function better than 73-grain in this one Erma KGP-68A in .32acp For those that haven't seen one, its TINY in person... basically a Baby Luger for 1/10th the cost ;)

Thoughts on the S&W Shield 9mm

Happiness is a warm S&W, can't wait to hear your range report!! :D

Ruger SR11, or Rock Island tactical

Love the RIA's :) Get a 9mm/.22TCM, you'll be a happy camper :) Helps if you reload, but at this point, Everyone should be reloading their own! Have had 3 major issues with Ruger, well documented elsewhere... in all fairness to Ruger, they recalled two of the three guns due to those...

    Shooting left of center...

Thing that drives me nuts is that I'm dead on with the smaller calibers... just the .45 & 10mm going left... Might have to set up a vidcam next go-round at the range :)

    Shooting left of center...

Well, I picked up a Micro 1911 in .45acp and did the same thing, shot slightly left... instead of hitting the center, nailed the Number 8 on the target quite nicely. Wonder if its a Caliber issue...only happens when shooting .45's or 10mm's...

    Magazine auto ejects

Yeah, mags for those are hard to find at this point... it would be worthwhile to try to repair it. Best thing to have is a Micrometer to take actual measurements of each mag, and compare them with the others... Oddly enough I've got a somewhat beat-up pair of 30-P mags that are sitting...

    P238 vs Mustang pocket printing

Dress normally, and do your own test in front of a camera... you need to know if you are showing in any way... or if there may be other issues to watch...

    Shooting left of center...

I guess I'm getting old or something...took some pistols to the range and did some paper punching... on everything except the two largest calibers I was Right Onna Money...everything in the 9 & 10 rings. the 10mm & .45 was shooting to the left...was told that I was probably over-pressing the...

Do you carry a Subcomcact, Compact, or Full size Gun

EDC is a compact...for both me & the Wifey. Occasional Diaper Bag Carry consists of twin Calico 9mm pistols for going into areas that are of questionable tactical nature...like Malls and Sporting Events. Would rather have the 100-rd mags with us in places where terrorists and gangs have...

    My new .45!

Can't resist showing off my CS45, the Shortest all-metal .45 that S&W ever made :) Holster is a Desantis Gunhide R2, decent fit, but not perfect... Case is a camo lockbox for range transport, from Flying J/Pilot stores. Got it on fuel points, normally $30, it was Free :)

Anybody ever take a Dremel tool...

Best thing a Dremel is good for on a firearm is hogging out some space when one is about to do a glass bedding job on a stock... Faster than a chisel, but requires just as deft a touch!
