My first IDPA match, had fun and learned a lot.

Well, I'm not going to go "all out" with respect right away. All I know is if you show up with a .45 and a Cabbage Patch doll, I best be on my best behavior.

Dang HV, sounds like you did pretty darn good to me. I guess I'm going to have to start giving you some respect...

FROM RUGER TO 1911 BACK TO RUGER IN 3 DAYS FLAT

My problem is I have a WHOLE BUNCH of guns I like. Heck, I'd like one of each if I could find the space to put them. :)

FROM RUGER TO 1911 BACK TO RUGER IN 3 DAYS FLAT

Sounds like you're in pretty good shape. Now you know not to trade that one off next time...

FROM RUGER TO 1911 BACK TO RUGER IN 3 DAYS FLAT

Hey, we don't all have to like the same guns. Sometimes, it's more about "feel" than anything else. I had a P97 for a while that was beat up and ugly, but shot as good as anything else I have. I sold the darn thing and regret it still. Good news is you can probably find another P90 pretty...

    WTB: Remington 541-T .22

Price? Lot of it depends on condition. I've seen 541-T's go for $350 to $450, with an average somewhere in the middle. Scope can add $100-$150 depending on condition as well. It's hard to wear one of those out if it was cared for. Make sure the bolt locks up well, the bore is good, no...

SIG's DAK system and the 229 SAS

I spoke with Sig this morning...they confirmed that the later model frames of any Sig can be converted to DAK and vice versa. So, if you have a gun that was produced about the same time as when the DAK's hit the street, you should be able to convert it over. For those with older guns, well...a...

SIG's DAK system and the 229 SAS

Yep, love the SAS. I was a bit hesitant about getting it because I hadn't shot the DAK trigger yet. Seems to be a love-hate relationship from what I've read on the boards. That said, if all DAK's are like the SAS...I might switch all mine to DAK. The SAS is incredibly smooth throughout...

Duracoat on a fairly new XD-40

I personally don't refinish until I show some wear...and maybe not even then. With my XD's, I haven't had any rust issues even with a little wear. So, I probably wouldn't....unless it was free and then that's a whole 'nuther story... For a "working" gun, a little wear is okay.

    Walther P99 QA

I've had decent luck with CDNN as far as deliveries go. The only "bad" things I've heard come from some of the certified pre-owned pistols where some folks have had issues. But, some others have been fine with CPO's. If you have additional expense incurred for permits, I'd ask CDNN to buck up...
