I have a Stevens 200 in .308 I am starting the work of upgrading. I am putting an er shaw varmint contour barrel on it. I want to get a new stock with at least an adjustable cheek piece but my main want for this is to convert to magazine fed. What stocks am I looking at or possible...
Yes I recently had a negligent discharge through a few solid objects and the jhp did not expand. The bullet worked as I would have expected it to with what it ce into contact with. Mine was a negligent discharge due to my actions. My gun was not malfunctioning.
My main problem is when I bend or squat the handle really sticks out. It's not printing enough that you can tell what it is, but it looks like I'm trying to smuggle a baseball bat(exaggeration ;) ) but it is very obvious I have something bigger than a cell phone there.
Thanks I didn't see that forum. (I guess I didn't search good enough :( ) I guess the only question left is if anyone has any tips for moving. I can conceal fine while standing up but if I squat or bend over the handle sticks out of my back a good ways.(or it feels like it)
I live in Texas and the summers get pretty warm so this is focused on that time of year as winter shall be much easier. I have a m&p 9 with the 4.25" barrel with a dsg alpha holster configured for iwb. I am 5'6" and weigh 156lbs. My question is does anyone have any tips for concealing with this...
I agree with you Larry and that is why I called it negligent. I knew the proper saftey procedures and I got complacent. (the I know what I'm doing syndrome) this mistake could have cost me dearly but it didn't which I am very grateful for.
I have definitely learned something from this. Thanks for all the input. I think I'm gonna leave the hole as a reminder.I've also kept the casing thus far. I think it might make a nice necklace as a constant reminder.
The reason I don't keep a round chambered while at my house is because I have two toddlers whom I have already started teaching to not touch. I always either have the gun holstered or in the safe(when not in my workroom with the door locked) but I'd rather not take the risk while at home with...
I'm normally very OCD about checking the chamber. Usually even if I just put it in the safe and I take it back out I drop mag if any and check the chamber. I always check the chamber of every gun I touch each time I touch it, once was all it took.
I will tell you nothing gets you adrenaline...
Last night I experienced my first negligent discharge. I will tell the story of how it happened because it does happen and people should always be aware of safety and NEVER get complacent. Yes I expect snide comments about keeping my booger hook off the bang switch. I Knew better!
To set the...
I have a 512 and the Eotech 2nd gen magnifier. The biggest problem i have with the magnifier 512 combo is the buttons are on the back of the eotech and the mount for the magnifier makes it difficult to push the button.(especially when turning it off) So for me it is currently sitting beside the...
The glock has been around longer so it has a track record. The m&p is "new" and yet to be proved in the eyes of some people.(understandable) I have been a huge glock fan for several years. I recently traded my glock 19 for an m&p 9. I have not regretted it. The m&p has survived through my...
I am currently signed up with them. I have not had to use the services(thankfully). I did however look into how much i would be paying them and what services i wold recieve. I have a chl but i am paying around $11 a month for the coverage. The reason it is cheaper without a chl is because it...
I'm not sure of the statistics but I would expect the number is very low. Even in the situation where the BG has body armor we must think about our initial goal as ccw holders. The way I look at it is we are trying to stop the BG not necessarily kill them. I knew a guy who got shot while wearing...
