Like somebody else here in this thread stated, don't overlook the Beretta Px4 Storm as a choice. I have one, and it's a fantastic handgun!

I've read on other blogs/forums the weight advertised is actually a misprint, and it weighs more around the 6-7 lb range unloaded. Whatever the case, it looks like a dandy little rifle, and I'm looking forward to checking these out when they become available. It will compliment my 9mm Beretta...
Reminds me of words old grandpa used to say, "They sure don't make them the way they used to!"
Since we showing guns, this is mine. Marlin 1895G in .45/70
The next picture I'll ever show of this gun will have different optics on top.
:neener:
That was another question that I had. Are the scout scopes and the setup as accurate as the typical scope setup. Sounds like you guys do alright with yours.
I appreciate the posts you guys have made on this subject. I think I'm going to put on the X Rail scout mount, and now currently shopping for which scope I want to mount on the gun.
For many people who go the route of putting on a scout scope on their 45/70 Marlin guide guns is not only for the looks, but because of the huge recoil this gun has if you fire the hotter loaded rounds the gun can handle. Getting ones eye as far away from that scope as possible so you don't get...
Well I have a .300 weatherby mag with a real high powered scope I use when Im watching over a field, and expecting long shots. The 45/70 I use for mainly in the woods hunting, where shots will almost certainly be 100 yards or under. And frequently there is heavy brush and new growth polar...
To scout scope or not to scout scope that is the question.
I have a Marlin 1895G in 45/70 and been thinking of putting on a scout scope like so many other people have done with this gun. I've never used a scout scope before, and after shopping them for quite some time, I find it surprising...
Weatherby Vanguard in 300 weatherby mag is a tack driver. With a good rest and decent scope, you can shoot patterns the size of your fingernail at 100 yards as long as you don't let the barrel heat up too much. And with this cartridge you can easily shoot much longer range with massive power...
Our gun club has no ranges in which they have you shooting in any direction towards another range of a different kind. All the various ranges all face the same direction, and I've never heard of this sort of thing before. I don't blame you for hauling ass out of there. I might have done...
Yeah I have to agree with some of the others here those rings are pretty fail. I had them bouncing around in my shooting box I carry around. I finally tried putting them on a rifle about a week ago, and promptly threw them in the garbage when 2 of the 4 hex screws rounded out when trying to...
Very nice stand, kudos to you. We have a handful of similar stands on our hunting property, and have been using them for about 6-7 years now, and it's hard to imagine how we use to sit out in the open cold like we did all those years before now. I'm sure you'll enjoy that stand. Well done! ;)
The press we have is not the classic you are correct. It is just the four hole turret press. I was not aware it is smaller, or the smallest press you can get. From looking at the various websites, it has 3 1/2 inches of ram throw. The same as the classic press. Sounds like the classic press...
