    California compliant?

I hate California. If the gun model is a S&W 19 -3, and you find a S&W 19 -2 or -4, you can't import it into california. S&W update there guns with different springs or minor changes every now and then, to get them approved, they have to pass the testing and the fees paid.

    Browning A-5

I know a guy who Browning hired just for that purpose. He used to carve little diagrams on the inside of the wooden forearms, but he got tired and quit, haven't been any carvings since. Browning figured it was cheaper and easier to put it on paper and call it an "owners manual".:rolleyes...

    If an emergency

Check around on the net, there are a few sites with pics of perps and victims of shotgun shootings. Be ready to be grossed out, they ain't pretty. I personally would prefer birdshot, depending on the distance, it would be less likely to shoot through the outer walls of your house and hit...

All brass, high brass, low brass, no brass....

I also agree that it came from the olden days. The higher brass was used on higher dram weighted shells to prevent them from splitting the paper hulls. Now days they are purely cosmetic. Crap, nowadays most brass colored bases are actually steel, never seen a magnet attract to true brass...

any American auto shotguns use chrome-lined bbls?

What difference does a chrome lined barrel make? I noticed that Browning offers chrome lined chambers, but not barrels.

    browning sweet sixteen

Anyone have a breakdown photo that shows these fiber inserts? My dad's 16 is older than I am, and I presume they do wear and fade away. I'd like to know where they are so I can check to see if they are still intact! Thanks for the help! Bob

    Quick question about Cynergy...

Does anyone know if the Cynergy has a hole in the buttstock under the recoil pad where you could install a mercury recoil reducer like the ones made by C&H? Thanks! Bob

white flakes on new 12GA 00 buck shells

No its not cocaine, but it could be nitroglycerin. Old sticks of dynamite get a buildup of white crystals on them from the nitro leaching through the paper. :what:
