CC Pistol ( Help me decide)

I have and love the new Kahr P380. Have you considered this? More expensive than the other .380s out there, which may not go well with your budget concerns, but it doesn't feel 'cheap' like the Keltec P-3AT does to me, and it has quite a smooth trigger. http://www.kahr.com/PA-1_380_p.html

    XD 9mm 3"

got it, love it. I own this model and it's served flawlessly so far. Not a single misfeed. Feels quite sturdy and well-made. No issues with the polymer frame. I was originally choosing between this and the Glock 26 (9mm subcompact). I went with the SA XD because it felt better in my hand.

Good weight bullet for 3" 9mm

I'm carrying 147 grain, but am rethinking this. 124 +p? It's for a Springfield Armory XD 9mm subcompact.

Crimson Trace Rep: Lasers on the Kahr Arms P380

A emailed Crimson Trace on 11/11/09 asking if they planned on making a laser for the new Kahr P380. Here's their response: We'll see.

Loading HD SG magazine with various loads

OP here. I don't think I explained well enough what I was trying to get across. If one is going to mix loads, it makes more sense to me to load it with big pellets first, then go to the small stuff, rather than start small and go to big.

Loading HD SG magazine with various loads

I've heard a lot of people say they load their shotgun such that their first shot will be something small-ish, and then it graduallly gets larger, ending in 00 or even slugs. But if you are going to use various loads in a single magazine, loading it in the opposite way makes some sense to me...

    642 Club Part Deux

I have a CT-405 on my 442. It's the most expensive model CT grip for the S&W J-frame line, I believe. The grip seems to be a mix of rubber/plastic: rubber of the back strap and front, mostly plastic on the sides. It feels quite secure, however; it's 'sticky' where I need it. The on/off...

Mossberg 500 ejection a bit sticky at end

Found the issue I found the issue. I've posted a pic that shows what's happening. The ejection port-side of the elevator is hitting the edge of a groove. I can verify this by gently pushing the elevator away from the ejection port when it gets stuck -- and then the slide easily moves...

Mossberg 500 ejection a bit sticky at end

I have a concern about my 12 ga Mossberg 500 that I just bought. (It was $260+tax at Big 5 and came with 18" and 28" barrels, Seattle.) I'm relatively new to guns/shotguns, so bear with me as I try to explain it. If I push the slide release and slowly pull the forearm back, the entire slide...

    642 Club Part Deux

Broken, shipped, fixed Thought I'd share my 442-2 no-lock repair story. I bought it used from a shop a mile or so from my apartment in Seattle. After putting ~500 rounds through it, I noticed a few things. The rifling of the barrel was off-center and possibly not on-axis. The cylinder...

    642 Club Part Deux

Firing pin & thumb piece look okay? Hello all, I have two questions about my 442. (1) Is the firing pin protruding from the body far enough? I've also included a picture of a spent .38 special cartridge. I have not experienced any misfires. (2) Is the amount that my thumb piece is...

    642 Club Part Deux

Thanks for the info on the discoloration. Upon closer inspection, it almost looks as if the dark color is wearing off in those areas, but it may just be lead/powder accumulation as you said.

    642 Club Part Deux

Discoloration of front of cylinder near chambers Hello! New 442-2 owner here. I've had my 442 for a few weeks and have recently noticed a bit of funny discoloration on the front of the cylinder surrounding each of the chambers. The only cleaners I've used have been Hoppe's No. 9, Break...
