I know a guy who said he knows a guy (who knows a guy who knows a guy) that had an entire box of .308 misfire after having them for six months. I don't believe a word of it. It doesn't take much to start a rumor in the gun world.
I managed to luck into a couple boxes of 45 today at Wal-Mart. The guy working the counter said he had just put them out this morning and had four boxes left. Of course, seeing they still had a shelf full of .357 Sig, I'm still kicking myself for not picking up that XD a couple months ago.
I saw on the local news today that some of the PDs in central WV are running low. It said they order once a year in bulk and can't find much. They also talked about how they were going to have to change their tactical training to make up for running low on 5.56.
I knew what this was before it even loaded. Glad this is making it around. Love the part where he tells him he's armed. There were a few things you could get nitpicky about but overall it's pretty amazing.
I'm either joining the NRA or the SAF next paycheck I get. I would join both, but I'm on a terribly strict budget at the moment. I know neither are too expensive but that's how strict my budget is. I'm leaning towards the SAF. What say you? Who do you join if you can only join one? I'm not...
I went through the same thing. Went back and forth but ended up with the Bodyguard. It just felt better to me than the LCP. And yes, the trigger sucks and it's hard to pull from a pocket holster, but it's been my most carried gun because it's the easiest to carry. Yes, I am lazy. I never shot...
Thanks Joel. I just got done emailing all my representatives. I'm usually the guy that says "Ah, I'll let everyone else handle it." Not this time, not now. Everybody needs to be doing this.
My dad really surprised me last week as we drove to our hunting "camp" for end of the year doe season. He pulled the ol' "only police and the military need assault weapons". I was honestly shocked. If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't be into firearms and, as a consequence, RKBA. He grew up with...
Another vote for the T3. I have a Lite in .308 and I love it. My only suggestions would be to get a new recoil pad and possibly new rings/mount. The hard rubber stock recoil pad is pretty worthless. Not sure about the Hunter model but the Lite will whomp you even in .308. I picked up a Limbsaver...
Our county paper sometimes prints the names of people who got a permit or renewed the previous month. Just the names but that's still too much info in my opinion. They do it randomly though two or three times a year. I like to read it to see if I know anyone who's taken steps to protect...
