I know a guy who said he knows a guy (who knows a guy who knows a guy) that had an entire box of .308 misfire after having them for six months. I don't believe a word of it. It doesn't take much to start a rumor in the gun world.

I managed to luck into a couple boxes of 45 today at Wal-Mart. The guy working the counter said he had just put them out this morning and had four boxes left. Of course, seeing they still had a shelf full of .357 Sig, I'm still kicking myself for not picking up that XD a couple months ago.

I saw on the local news today that some of the PDs in central WV are running low. It said they order once a year in bulk and can't find much. They also talked about how they were going to have to change their tactical training to make up for running low on 5.56.

Another vote for the T3. I have a Lite in .308 and I love it. My only suggestions would be to get a new recoil pad and possibly new rings/mount. The hard rubber stock recoil pad is pretty worthless. Not sure about the Hunter model but the Lite will whomp you even in .308. I picked up a Limbsaver...
