In a Colt Combat Elite, the only profile I couldn't get to feed reliably was the 200g RNFP. No matter OAL, plunk test etc. pistol just didn't like them. You can see in my pic my top 3 favorites to cast/shoot.

I only use cast.358 for several pistols, zero leading/cycling/accuracy issues (well, not counting my accuracy issues). I like not having to size differently for 9mm and.38 spl/.357 mag.

I cast and coat my own. Back to casting pot they go! If I were buying them, not sure I'd enjoy smashing them with a hammer either. Every once in a while a batch gets "contaminated" or temps are off/time etc. and the coating looks good, but comes off like an egg shell when the hammer drops.

Do these pass the hammer test? I know people push to 2K fps with Hitek. How many coats? Also didn't see what you're sizing to?

2400. I like the wider charge range. Unlike H110/W296, min max is usually pretty narrow.

Are these the new invisible Rem 7.5 Bench SR primers? I use zip bags for load development. I keep an index card in the bag, shoot them, make notes and place the brass back into the corresponding baggie. Makes for easy case inspection/load evaluation. Other wise 50/100 round ammo boxes or...

Looks like that brass is driving way too far into the die body section that applies crimp. Back out the die, and raise seater stem all the way (just to be safe). Place belled case on the ram, raise ram to full extension, then lower die body to just contact belled case. Taper crimp is set from...

I like AA2230 for 55g stuff. I find it's getting harder to find. Had some W748 so I just loaded up a few and I'm ready test. I'm no benchrest guy, just a plinker. My bulk loaded .223 loads probably will never be better than 2-3 MOA. I like ball powders to load from a Lee Pro Disc powder...

I really like 6.3g Unique under cast 158 to 173 grains of lead (mag brass). Pushes the 158g to 1085 FPS from my 6" 686. Easy on the shooter too.

That 440g is running a whole lot slower than a .223, could that matter?
