    M1A legal questions..

All, Looking for some help here as I just moved back and I'm a little rusty on the laws (note: this is for california). I'm close to getting an M1A from out of state, this is a two part question. 1) The seller has the SEI Socom flash hider and a cali break. Is it legal only with the brake...

Considering some big bore options (.44, .454, .50)

Definitely would get into reloading, thanks for the opinions so far all, really helpful. The two most desirable options after checking these responses and looking around a lot more: .454 option and going alpine with the opportunity to shoot .45 LC is nice As well as an alpine .44.

Considering some big bore options (.44, .454, .50)

To be honest the intent would absolutely be a blaster, and if it proved to be a capable backpacking / camping gun I could see it morphing into that as well, but as mentioned a .50 Alpine is seemingly nothing short of brutal when it comes to recoil. A .454 with an alpine conversion is also...

Considering some big bore options (.44, .454, .50)

Hey all, Recently I've been deciding what the next handgun should be and I've narrowed it down to a big bore revolver. I have an S&W .38 snub and had a .44 mag, so I'm definitely lacking in the category. Right now the options I'm looking at are something like a Freedom Arms or Ruger S.R...

    Bowen Classic Arms, experiences?

I know the topic has been covered a bit before and I've done some searching of the old threads, but I was wondering if anyone here actually has some experience or owns a piece worked over by Bowen? I'm considering getting a super redhawk and sending it off for a caliber conversion to a .50AE...

    ***A need for a 1911***

I don't have one but I have heard a lot of good things about them from a value perspective. Personally I have a Colt Series 70, MC Operator and WC CQB. However, if I was to buy one just to bang around / truck gun / use the frame for a dedicated .22, I would strongly consider the RIA from...

    Ccw and restaraunts

One thing I find useful is the fact that if it has a clip in some places (maybe all) it's not considered concealed if the clip is visible. 99.99% of people don't notice or don't care that you have a clip in your pocket, and in reality it's attached to a 3.5" blade.

    Best .22 Plinking Gun?

Oh, and if you're into 1911's, consider a conversion kit. It's going to be one of my next couple purchases.

What made you choose your last handgun??

Probably, somewhere in the back of my mind, Counter-Strike. Had to say it cause the last purchase was a Desert Eagle. I got a good deal on it and was tired of buying combat purposeful handguns, I just wanted something entertaining and novel.

    Teens and guns...

I've 'had guns' (saved up, had dad buy them) since the 4th grade. We were very open about guns (they never liked the hobby, but respected mine) and had set rules. The rules were very fair. If I was going to go shooting I could take them, get the appropriate parental note to transport and...
