Finally, a show in the Panhandle!!

I just picked up an 18-3, and sadly, I passed on several 17-3's over the past year due to other needs in the household. 617's come up often, but with higher price tags, especially for the pre-lock models. I'd also suggest a Colt OMT/OMS/OMM if one comes available.

I believe that the other poster was referring to the Officers Model Target/Special/Match as a comparable revolver to the Model 17.

I went from OWB holsters to IWB holsters, specifically the ones made by High Noon. I use the Tailgate at 4 o'clock with a CZ P-01 or a Ruger SP101 DAO at 2 o'clock. I find them to be very comfortable and concealing the weapon is easy. I will eventually buy some OWB holsters for winter time.

According to Wilson's data, your Trooper is probably from 1968 (lowest number is 67500). 1969 had the range of 80800-84616.

A friend asked me to clean his grandfather's JC Higgins Model 20 12 gauge. Once I got the crud cleaned out of it, the action cycled wonderfully. Very nice gun.

Mitch, that pic of the snapper is awesome. I took the 400/500 level herpetology class at Marshall U. in WV. One of the master's students was doing research with the hellbender at the time, so I got to see some of his work, but they aren't anywhere near as dangerous as the snapping turtle.

I bought a meprolight sight for mine and you have to drill it yourself. I'm sending mine away for some custom work, so I'll have the gunsmith take care of it then.

I bought a set of the 'removed' SP-01 sights from Angus at CZCustoms and pressed them into my P-01 with no problem.

I have to admit, I never thought that I'd see a picture of two, well-known Filipinos on THR. Awesome. I feel extra good about my heritage today!

I was kidding about the 'like' part; I treat it as a wild animal, and not as a dog. I made the choice to buy this animal and keep it caged around 15 years ago; long before I was married with children. I will keep her healthy, but caged, until she dies because I made the commitment years ago...
