Sig Sauer P238 pocket holster issue

Thank you. Although I would like to find a solution that doesn't involve Kydex for the reason SteadyD stated. I'm not totally opposed to it. I have a hybrid holster with kydex that I use on occasion with this pistol but most of the time it's in the pocket holster. I hadn't thought about...

Sig Sauer P238 pocket holster issue

Hi all. Do any P238 owners here have a pocket holster they like and have practiced drawing from. I've had the Desantis super fly for years. I love the grippy texture, although it still sticks to the gun half the time because the rear oem night sights catch the top stitching. Wondering if...

    Moving up to Blue...worth it?

I also started with loading a few thousand of various calibers on a Lee turret. Then got the 650. Worth the upgrade. I also kept my Lee dies and they work fine in the 650. See no difference in accuracy but I can load way more rounds in much less time .

Thanks for the recommendations. How does the Springfield Loaded compare to a Smith & Wesson 1911?

    1911 purchase advice needed

For you 1911 guys: I'm looking for recommendations on a good base 1911 to start with that I can do some good trigger work and upgrades to make it a competition worthy gun. Doesn't have to be over the top, as I do not even compete as of yet. Looking in the $1,000 and under range. But...

    Change from 165gr to 180gr in 40S&W?

I've loaded and shot thousands of 180 gr hard cast TC without issue using AA#5, Unique, and mainly HS-6. No set back or pressure issues. Recoil is more pushy and less snappy than my 155 LSWC, but not much. I load around 70% of max loads usually for plinking.

9mm Heavy vs. light & fast

Solid advice. Much appreciated. From what I'm gathering it would be smart to do work ups with my faster powders like unique and 231 and also my slower powders like Power Pistol and HS-6. HS-6 is the slowest pistol powder I have and is my go-to for .40 loads. Followed by AA#5. I will try...

9mm Heavy vs. light & fast

The loads I've made have cycled 9mm pistols 100% reliably. The pistol in question is a long slide .40 glock. the stock barrel is 6 inches long and the slide is just a tad heavy for a 9mm to cycle it like it would on a regular 9mm pistol. The cycling is at best, slow but reliable. That slow...

9mm Heavy vs. light & fast

I usually do stick to lead for economy. The only pistol I have to shoot 9mm out of is a 6 inch barrel glock 24 .40sw. I have a lone wolf conversion barrel and an 11lb recoil spring I use to shoot 9mm out of it. It's a tack driver With both .40 and the weak cycling 9mm. the slide is too long...

9mm Heavy vs. light & fast

I usually use unique for 9mm. I've tried as fast as W231 and as slow as AA#5. Didn't see much difference. Tried it because I was doing research online and seemed like a faster powder might help. I always shoot lead. So was thinking maybe a faster moving, lighter plated or fmj would cycle...

9mm Heavy vs. light & fast

This isn't a caliber war convo about stopping power or penetration. I'm looking for a target load in a long n heavy slide .40 converted to 9mm. Most rounds make the slide cycle way too slowly. 147 lead TCFN have given me the best results but still doesn't cycle as fast as I'd like. I've...

The Powder Shortage is *Killin'* me here!

My local gunshow comes around every month and a half. If I get there first thing in the am I can usually score some HS-6 or AA #5. Seems to be the two only pistol powders that show up regularly. If I go at the end of the day there's nothing but rifle powder left. If I miss a show then I also...

Made the jump to the XL650....WOW!

Yea, I agree, I was having too many squibs trying to go faster on the turret. But I feel like the equipment, being of simpler design than Dillon, made it easier for this to happen. The spring loaded powder dispenser on the lee sometimes got stuck. I learned the hard way (after a few squibs)...
