Why no love for the Mini-14 ?

I agree with Dougiefreshhh: "I love my mini (560 series) as I found it to be OVERALL: 1.) easy to shoot, 2.) is not finicky about what I feed it, 3.) easy to clean, 4) "low profile" appearance,5) good general purpose weapon.6.) you can buy one without having to decide on 50 different...

    Favorite .22 LR rifle?

My vote would have to go to the Nylon 66. I bought one about 44 years ago and it still works great. I got it from a distant relative who was hard up for cash. Gave him $30 for it. It was pratically new, still had the round 66 sticker on the stock. They were selling for $65-$75 new at the time...

    S&w ar-15 .22lr

I got one at the local Academy about 3 weeks ago ($449). It really seems to be well built. I was a little worried about finding extra mags for it. Tactical mini 14

I got a mini 14 about 6 months ago and was thinking about putting a tactical stock on it, but the more I look, the less I like the idea. I've got a KR model and I think it looks great. Most of the stocks I've seen for the mini make them look cheaper, imho.

    Mini-14 Magazines???

I don't have the polymer type, but recently tested all that I have for my mini 14: 2 Ruger 20 rd, 2 John Masen 30 rd, 2 Pro-Mag 30 rd, 1 Pro-Mag 20 rd, and 1 generic CTD 20 rd. The only one that didn't feed correctly was the cheap CTD, but I had it crammed full. That may have caused the problem...
