FredT: I believe the "Deerhead" carving was a $19.95 option. “The straight-on deer head carving was used for the Spiegel 336 model; according to Brophy 4264 rifles were made for, and sold by Spiegel in Chicago”. Came with a 4x scope, leather sling and swivels and black trigger.

Build an AK?? My advice to you on your first build is to get a 100% receiver so you don't have to get into alot of trimming, fitting, heat treating, welding, etc. Global receivers are great for a first build but, unfortunatley, there is a 2-3 month wait. I built the first (3) kits on Globals...

Down here in Florida, you can take your pistol to the show, have it checked and tie-wrapped at the door and walk it around to sell. Just have to make sure the potential buyer is a resident of your State.
