    NUTNFANCY gun reviews

NOW I remember why I quit visiting gun forums. Squabbling over stupid <deleted> like this, name calling and the like. Oh and yes we are ALL in this together. You wood and blue guys think they will leave you alone after all the scary black guns are gone? Think again. Ayway, so long THR. Took...

    NUTNFANCY gun reviews

Just my .02 cents (hey our money's on par now too). Nutnfancy has over 115,000 subscribers worlwide that are being exposed to Second Ammendment philosophy, safe gun handling, gear and the outdoors. Yeah he may go at times and yes some vids need serious editing. But I challenge his detractors...

    Bolt Action SlamFire

Nope, no trigger contact. Hand just slipped off the bolt, then the gun went boom when dropping the bolt down. No work on the trigger at all. Factory setting. That was a total of 8 rounds total through the rifle. It's at the gunsmith as I write this.

    Bolt Action SlamFire

So my new Steven 200 in .223 went shooting for only the second time in three years. And what happens??? A slam fire on round 3, gun went boom while lowering the bolt. Factory Feberal 55gr FMJ. Hmmmmmmm. Not good, thus the rule of ALWAYS pointing the barrel in a safe direction. Video here...

    Veteran's Day

Remembrance Day up here. Carried an ancient (1956ish) C1 -FN FAL- to everbody else in the world while in the reserves in the late '80's. Great rifle, wish the government would let me legally shoot the ones I have in my safe...

Help me decide: Benchmade vs. RAT

If it has the old logo odds are it is made by Ontario....I have owned several of the RAT line made by Ontario....IMHO the worst product Ontario has ever produced. Get the ESEE with the proper blade markings and you will not be disappointed.

Where can I buy a Magazine 1917 Eddystone?

Best to check US export regulations. Speaking from experience there is no such thing as "just a part" in regards to firearms and US export policy these days.

    IVI headstamp (SNC CANADA)

Seems a little expensive, especially if shipping is extra. I'm buying for $210CAD/1000 once fired with a flat rate shipping charge of $15.00 for up to 5000 rds. And thats for quality LC match once fired.

    Tikka T3 or a Remignton 700 SPS?

A close friend of mine has the Western Canadian Remington Warrenty Repair Depot. From what he says the new Remingtons are NOT what they were 10 years ago. The quility has gone way down in compared to the Tikka and European rifles. The Tikka has lots of plastic and can not be topped up from...

    30-06 Deer Load Requested

MAX LOAD although incredibly accurate: 57.5-58.5 grs IMR-4350 with 165gr bullet. Shoots like a damn in my Savage 110.

    .280 Remington for Bear?

140gr Nosler Partition or the Accubond. Even for the big Alberta Black Bear I hunt all the time most blacks even the 300-400 ld'ers aren't all that tough. A reasonable well constructed bullet is all you need. I would stay away from light jacketed bullets like a Nosler Ballistic Tip or the...

    6.5x55 and Barnes TSX's...

Honestly unless Elk or Moose is on the agenda you don't really need the TSX for the Swede. I've used the 140 gr Hornady for years and taken lots of game with it, big Alberta Whitetails and Mule Deer. This year I've played around with the 130 TSX in my Tikka. Its an alright hunting load with...

    Elmer Keith vs. Jack O'Connor

Well over the years I've managed to collect many of Elmers books, while buying only one of Jack O'Connors. Elmer was one hell of a STORY TELLER, Jack was one hell of a lecturer. I always feel like I'm being talked down to when I read Jack. Could be the fact O'Connor was a College Prof. To me...
