    Recomend a revolver?

I have both styles but have to say the colt feels like a natural and looks great too..engraved cylinder scene etc....I'm definately a colt man but like my Remmies too! I also find the Colt easier to clean because one can remove the entire barrel assembly.

    Colt 1860 - EMF Hartford

I have an EMF Hartford sheriffs shorty 1860 with integral loading lever on layaway..it does look nice but I havn't had my hands on it yet. Normally I am a Uberti man but this one looked a cut above the typical Pietta. Yours is a beauty!

    Astra 900 (Spanish C96 sort of)Finish

I had just looked into my Astra book on the subject and while I can't remember the serial number range...it stated there were a few that were special finished meaning elaborately engraved mostly in arabic motifs but I found no mention of guns being nickled which was my query. As far as blued...

    1851 decision... Pietta vs. Pietta

Don't forget to consider the Cabellas 1851 Hickock Piettas with the engraving and faux ivory handles. Those look nice and one hardly ever sees them on the used market...I think people hang on to them. Price seems very reasonable too. I'd like to see some close up pics of one...maybe someone here...

dry fire cap and ball revolver?

If your nipples are adjusted properly they will not be struck by the hammer if dry firing..the frame will take the impact not the nipples. There should be a gap that is bridged only by the cap. How long the frame could take the punishment is a matter of conjecture. Probably OK for limited...

    A show of Walkers

Many original dragoons had the brass backstraps..one will never see any ill effects whatsoever with the brass..I have owned both for decades with no issues.

36 cal. leathal at 75 yards

I have also heard this particualar shooting was done with a dragoon not navy pistols. I havn't studied it one way or another ...if it was with two pistols they were probably navy's though. Anyone know for sure?

    Best Original type stock finish

I have heard that aqua fortis finishes turn green or greenish over time..that would be a heartbreaker for me were it to happen to one of my weapons.
