There is nothing in the MO regulations about what a class should or has to cost. You could do them for free as a public service (and go broke) if you want.
The only odd item in MO is the statute states "County can charge up to $100 for original permit and up to $50 for renewal". Strange thing...
I've bought dies, holsters, and other firearm related stuff on eBay, paid with PayPal, no issues ever.
Been using PayPal since just about day 1 with them.
Only reason I go to gun shows now is to stock up on reloading supplies. Everyone seems to want retail + for guns/magazines.
I have been able to pickup CCI primers for $24/1000 all day long, and NO HAZMAT fees. Okay, so it cost $8 to get into the show, but still quite a bit cheaper than $25 and...
Let her pick the gun she wants. Find a range that has a lot of rentals available and let her go at it. If she picks what she wants, far better chance of her carrying it.

You can buy primers cheap ($24/1000) and powder and not have to pay the $25 HazMat charge.
Well worth the $9 admission, other than that....I went the first weekend in November and there was a guy selling USED Glock mags for more than the guy...

I have a Bersa Firestorm 22 that is great for plinking.
Two things I noticed (and was told), lots of ammo to break it in, and can be very ammo picky. The only ammo I found to funtion without incident (FTE's mostly) is anything 40gr. Really doesn't like the 36gr stuff at all.
But a very...
Carried mine all summer long in an Uncle Mike's pocket holster in my cargo shorts. Other than having to clean lint out of it every couple of weeks, no issues here in hot and humid MO.
My wife carries a Glock 19, I carry a Glock 23 (same frame size for both). We both use Crossbreed Supertuck holsters. Once positioned properly and comfortably, you can use this with just a T-Shirt on, tucked in and conceals well.
One little community credit union has gone a step in the other direction. They will no longer allow you to wear 'hoodies' or hats when you enter the bank. This along with the No Concealed sign on the door.
