I'm aware of the ATF's ruling on placing the Sig brace and other similar brace-type attachments in your shoulder like a stock, but is it still legal to use just the buffer tube the same way?
I love Glock haters, they're almost as much fun to mess with as the HK fanboy club. My personal favorite is when people claim they're inaccurate... I tell them they can fix that by replacing the operator.
Congrats on your purchase, the G21 is a nice .45, and the TLR is a great addition. I had a...
Most FF handguards have the monolithic-looking top rail, but most also use proprietary barrel nuts. The Troy TRX and Samson Evolution series modular rails are lightweight and use the factory barrel nut, but require the FSP to be replaced or cut down.
I can't speak for Mega or Aero's true...
I had a Bushmaster upper on my AR a few years ago, never had any problems with it. More recently I ran a pistol-carbine course at Academi using a bone stock Bushmaster XM15. Fired several hundred rounds a day for 4 days with 2 malfunctions (that were magazine and ammo failures.)
I don't know how...
Disregard
Daniel Defense rep says it's a proprietary color used only in DD's MilSpec+ coating.
Also, I just remembered it has a pinned flash hider so I won't be able to get the barrel nut off anyway... so there's that...
Z-Michigan, G.Barnes, thank you for your response, and I apologize for...
A few months ago I bought a DD M4A1. Love the rifle except the RIS-II handguard, which is a little heavy. I was looking at replacing it with a KMR but I want to be able to refinish it to match the rest of the rifle.
There's a lot of shades of brown on the Cerakote website. Does anyone know...
We're getting a little derailed here. The OP was not about whether or not you would go to court in that situation. I know that in theory, if you acted within the confines of the law, you would not be tried, but the law is not perfect, especially when politics are involved.
My HD rig is actually an off the shelf DDM4 with a few practical mods, but my previous one was a custom build that has since been sold to a friend. I've had a couple friends who have bought ARs and asked about using them for defense. The OP was more just for general information than for personal...
A legal question for those of us using a carbine or shotgun as a defensive weapon...
Let's assume that said weapon were LAWFULLY used against an attacker in a home invasion or defensive scenario. Would the shooter face more legal challenges if the weapon were custom built as opposed to factory...
I'm using AK74 30rd mags. It doesn't hang up when cycled without a mag, in fact I can't even get it to hang up when racking it by hand. It only does it when actually fired. I'll see if I can get a hold of a new trigger group.
Interesting problem with the Saiga 5.45... the bolt sticks toward the rear of the receiver sometimes. I had seen it happen a couple times after I put the trigger in but the last couple times I took it to the range it locks up every third or fourth round. And before you ask... yes, it has been...
I'm thinking about trading my 23 for a 19. Beware the BTF, it is prevalent in Gen4 models. I put a 20lb ISMI spring in mine and haven't had any problems with it since.
