My Wal Mart is carrying the 100 round white box value packs in .40 FMJ for 15 bucks a box. I bought 200 rounds, and now that pay day has come, I'll probably swing around for 200 more, so as to not pass up on a good thing.

At $400, price was a big (though definitely not the only) consideration in my purchase of my XD40. That, and it's features, performance, and the overwhelmingly positive word-of-mouth I've heard. But yeah, the price sold me on it, otherwise, I'd probably have jonesed for a Glock 19.

Yes, there have been issues of hi-cap mags in XD-9's causing the ejector to break, but mainly due to people slamming them in, and trying to force them flush with the grip. I attribute that as a general issue of stupidity, not an issue of the gun.

I've never really shot reloads anyway, so its not a big worry for me. I can shell out the cash for new rounds, especially since I have a friend of mine who is a cop, who buys in bulk at wholesale.

I have NO idea about outfitting night sights on the XD. I do know that it's a pretty safe bet that if you get something compatible for a SIG, then you'll be fine. But as far as the details of installation, I'm a bit in the dark on it. It's an accessory I intend to get for my XD eventually, but...
