A New Cartridge For Me - 45 LC - Any Advice?

250gr lead, coated or not. Unique or Trail Boss powders, the latter being unobtanium lately (maybe for ever). TB is amongst the "bulkiest" powders out there. Unique works well. Now the important stuff: you said you need a new revolver. You need a lever action rifle in 45C too! Gotta complete...

Berry's recommend an OAL of 1.237 for their 230gr RN

    Berdan 30-06 brass

Out of interest - how do you de-prime berdan primed cases? Which berdan primers do you have?

    Cleaning Nickel Cases

I have a few nickel plated cases mixed in with my 44Mag brass. They have been reloaded (maybe 10 times) and cleaned (wet tumbled with pins using Frankford Arsenals pouch cleaner too). It is hard to tell them apart from the brass cases now - I figured it was the pins taking off the nickel...

American Reloading pull downs, 75/77gr. SMK

Assuming often does not end well. These seem to be between 75gr and 77gr based on your description. And pull downs are "slightly used" bullets (if there is such a thing) they are not new, and they are not used (as went for a trip into a berm) - so slightly used seems to apply. Not sure what...

    .308 primer pocket differences?

Crimped? This sounds a bit off. Not Large, not Small, not crimped, 3 Brands

    .308 primer pocket differences?

Are they not for small rifle primers? Starline has both (308 Win for large rifle primers and 308 Match for small rifle primers). I do not know definitively that Federal, Hornady and Aguila make SRP cases - but it sounds like they do. Get some SRP.

What have you done in the reloading room today

I have not quite done this "in the reloading room" yet - I have ordered a new set of dies for 45 ACP loading: Redding # 66189 - for the reloading room. I do like these dies (I have them in 44Mag and 357Mag) - especially the case expander/flaring die. I need to start reloading and shooting more...

Reloading: 2023 Successes and 2024 Resolutions

I just need to reload more AND shoot more. I have quite a few processed (cleaned, sixed, primed and flared) straight wall handgun cases that only need powder and bullets - and I have both powder and bullets. The last 6 months of 2023 I did not shoot as much as I should have and I plan to fix...

    Request load for Kel-Tec SU-16F

Tried any factory ammo? Are your sure the scope mount is solid? I see you have swapped the scope and rings - what are you used? What did you use? Try any other bullets? Some barrels don't like some stuff others love.

    Finally got a wet tumbler

    You have pins in there?

Large vs small primers for 450BM. PP vs RP?

Most pressures I have seen in loading data (LPP) has the pistol primers max'ing out around of 35k-36k PSI (not CUP)i. I have no idea if this is a "real" limit or not. Personally, I would favor rifle primers (large or small) over pistol if the pressures are exceeding 35k PSI. Not for (possibly)...

    Reloading classes??

Do we know for SURE that the person who left it at the range was the reloader/handloader/cause? Maybe the purchased a "bucket of bullets" at a gun show/yard sale/estate sale.....
