For those of you with young children, where do you keep your gun(s)?

I, too, have a curious 2 year old. I keep my guns far out of reach from her on the top shelf of our bedroom closet. It is within easy reach for me, but impossible for her. As soon as I can afford it (or when she gets older, which ever comes first...) I plan on getting a Bio-Vault. The one with a...

Waited my Ten days - DOJ Delayed

Man, I could not imagine having to wait 10 or more days... I just bought a shotgun today in a span of 5 minutes... Gotta love Texas :)

    Kholster's 9/11 Sale

What the OP failed to post was the actual reason why Kholster is having the sale. I just ordered a Kholster this past weekend for my 1911 Officer and it shipped 3 days later and should get here today. Great service IMHO. I will be ordering another one from him next week on 9/11 for my Glock 36...

TX CHL Applicant / Arrest Records Ponderment

The only reason why the DPS wants you to list ANY arrest is so that it does not delay your application. Regardless of the outcome. If they happen to find something that you did not disclose, they will investigate it. Which means more time spent... Your best bet would be to put as much...

Do you still have your first firearm?

I still have my Marlin 60 that my step-dad bought me in 1988 when I was 12. It's the 17+1, LSBHO model. I have run about 2000 rounds through it in the past year...

    N. Austin Gunsmiths

How about Red's in Pflugerville? I am pretty sure they have a smith on site. I took a glock in with a broken spring and they fixed it for $8 (only charged me for the part)

Video Shows Robber Shoot Himself, Clerk At Same Time

Further down on the OP's link says the clerk was shot in the stomach, though expected to make a full recovery.

Video Shows Robber Shoot Himself, Clerk At Same Time

Judge, Jury, and Executioner all in a split second... There are actually a couple of videos on You Tube that shows how easy it is to pull the trigger a second time on a revolver... The recoil actually will have enough force, if you don't have a firm grip on the handgun, to push the barrel up...

    Buying a Hi Point

I have owned the .45 in the past, it performed well. I am considering getting the .40 or 9mm to carry as a hunting sidearm so I don't have to take my other pistols out and worry about dropping it out of the tree stand...

    Ruger LCP 9mm ???

Well, since they all ripped off KelTec in design (Taurus TCP and Ruger LCP), why not model their 9mm LCP after the P-11 or PF9? :)

    Thinking of a CZ75

I have the CZ75 P-07 and the Omega trigger is pretty good in my opinion. Never had I had a problem with th 500 rounds I have put so far. I even used it for my CHL class a couple of weeks ago and it performed REALLY well. I am going to be carrying this gun when the plastic gets here and I...

Texas Castle Doctrine as it applies to automobiles?

Heck, I keep one mag in the gun, one in the center console, and one in my pocket!

Texas Castle Doctrine as it applies to automobiles?

The guy should have willfully diffused the situation by exiting MoPac... It was with in his ability to make the use of his weapon a LAST RESORT... just like what is taught in the CHL class he took... And then to fire his weapon on the highway without giving any thought to what would happen to...
