    Nightmares of Gun Jamming Up.

I still find it hilarious that after the huge amount of info regarding dream interpretation and my own comment on the psychological implications of people simply interpreting everything literally, there are STILL people doing that.

    Nightmares of Gun Jamming Up.

I think the fact that so many people are taking a highly metaphorical dream and interpreting it literally ("Buy a new gun if you don't trust your Glock!") is an interesting discussion on THEIR psychology.

Black Powder or Smokeless Gun ?

Likewise, I did some Googling on the gun and I can't find any specifics on caliber except for ".22 rimfire." I'm guessing either nobody knows enough about the guns to say for sure or they were intentionally able to use multiple .22 rimfire rounds up through .22LR. I doubt it would safely load...

When did they take away full autos?

I'm thinking the most expensive new machine guns would likely be the modern ones like TDI Vectors and the like. Many of the modern tacticool firearms are priced at ridiculously high levels only exceeded by rare NFA items like machine guns. If new machine guns could be transferred to civilian...

Black Powder or Smokeless Gun ?

If you're unsure in the first place, it's best to start with the lowest power rounds and work your way up. Examine the gun after each firing to make sure that there's no undue stress on the parts.

How much ammo do certain people keep?

Hey all! I'm a tabletop RPG player, primarily the GURPS system. I'm currently planning a large scale zombie apocalypse game, based around high realism and lots of research into post-SHTF life to provide as close to an accurate simulation of the real world situation as possible without removing...

Black Powder or Smokeless Gun ?

I believe they'd switched to smokeless powder by then (and .22 Short isn't exactly a gun destroyer), but if you do plan on shooting it I would still do it remotely unless you can verify that it's in fireable condition. Edit: I did some more searching. Apparently someone blew an older...

Helper stole a gun, need advice

A firearm is not something you just "accept as a loss." That's a weapon that could easily be out on the streets and soon finding itself connected to the murder of an innocent person. I don't know all the evidence that this girl stole it, or even if there IS evidence beyond circumstantial stuff...

    Lower 48 Pilot's Rifle

If you want something that can hunt small game AND defend you from a large animal or two-legged weirdo, I'd go with some kind of takedown shotgun: you can change the ammo type for different purposes. Though this does lead to the problem of not only needing to carry bulky shotgun shells (unless...

Anyone with Mosin experience, what do you think of this rifling?

Yeah, best thing to do is take it out to the range and start shooting. It's not going to explode or curve the bullet around to hit the guy next to you or anything.

This actually happened in my 'Hood"

You said there were sirens, so I'd assume they had their lights on as well. This would mean that your kid would be driving into your garage and running in, immediately followed by sirens and red and blue lights flashing through the windows. That's the point I'd look at him and go "Son, what...
